As I understand it, you spend the first couple of years teaching them to walk and talk, then spend the next couple of decades telling them to sit down and shut up...
:rotfl:
WELL DONE LITTLE BEAR!!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks for hugs....got quite a bit done to-day in comparison to last couple of weeks, maybe I'm getting better. Meant to go to doc this morning for prescription but didn't get up in time, will go to-morrow...then to chemist for to part with €100 for our meds for the month.
Sybil....delighted to hear that LB has decided to speak to you....in no time now you will be wondering why you worried and wish that he would stop for even 10seconds!

Afternoon all,
Youngest DD just embarking on cooking stir-fry tonight, I went to the lovely shiny new Morrison's in Crowborough (I try & go every time I'm up that way). I also got a "gammon shank" as it's labelled, for 99p. Is that the same as a ham hock???! I think it is, so looking forward to cooking it to get some ham for lunch sandwiches.
Sybil, that's brilliant - I bet you have such a huuuge smile on your face!!!
MSD, sorry to hear Tristan has had a setback hon
Still no sign of Mioliere - I expect she's rapidly learning to say all sorts in French & most of it probably not very complimentary by now...
Hester, your poor DH. It's horrible when you get that cold, seems impossible to warm up again.
Halight, glad you're feeling a bit now.
I know someone's cat got run over, but sorry, having a blank moment & can't remember whose. ((hugs)) though.
Also a big welcome to all the newbiesGreat to have you here!!!
Lots of reading tonight for me - I have a job interview tomorrow morning for Children's Services, so am refreshing my memory & checking through the job spec. to anticipate what I might get asked....
(((((hugs))))) for all needing them.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Warning - another non OS post
Little bear is happily playing upstairs, his idea. I am desperately grateful because I am considering upgrading my virus to flu (drama queen to the last, but I do feel poorly). He is making more and more sounds and I am struggling and working to try and work out what he means. It is not helped because dear heart and I think that LB is making up his own, consistent signs. He has made a good attempt at saying blue instead of signing, and I just need to keep pushing, I think. Thank you so much for all the good wishes. I really appreciate it.
He would have been better for a longer nap. However they started digging up the surplus lampost, then after waking him, stopped and left orange thingies around. I'd  but I don't have the energy.
Evil cat is not a happy kitten. She was propelled off my lap by a more than usual explosive sneeze and is sulking.
Mummysaver - evil cat really moped when her furry chum who used to own us (another cat  ) went to the great warm sofa in the sky. I found that it was really useful to get her to play - catnip, feathers on string, anything.
Hester - I hope that the minder feels better soon. There does seem to be a lot of lurgy around.
Hugs to allAnkh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Sorry about the rant earlier, but it is so disappointing, and I am trying to resists going and buying some chocolate to console myself:rotfl: :rotfl:
Had a quick email from M she was using a friends connection, France Telecom have failed their promise and she has neither phone or internet, latest promise is next Thursday but she is hoping to have the line before.
She says hello to everyone and confirms she is still in the land of the living.
Well done to LB:D .
Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Its on the opening page of the forums, right at the bottom, I think you are only on it if you put your dob in when you signed up ??? but you can change it under your user cp thingy (technicel term) someone more technically minded might well explain it better.
Squiggly good luck for the interview tomorrow xx
DG, glad M is ok, thanks for passing it on xx0 -
