I've reaquanited myself with Yahoo ready for the weekend. Facebook I use regularly anyhow so I'll be using both over the weekend.

Greenbee - I've added myself to the database - great idea.

Just going to finish tidying the kitchen and then head off to bed. Three of us have DH's cold coming on so lots of tissues will be required tomorrow.

At the risk of being contraversial (sp? - spot the person who went to the pub for tea) and just in case Phil and OJK are too scared to post, I think the point we are making is why do people assume one person will do it - not necessarily the female! I have to plead guilty to doing nothing with my first DH, and moaning if he didn't iron the right stuff -I did the toilets and cooked (very badly tbh) - he did everything else. You have to make a choice and stick to it. When DH2 and I met and agreed to have children we discussed hat we both wanted and expected going forward, and what we agreed was that I would be the main child care provider, that he would pay the mortgage so that I could stay at home and that as the person who had the most time I would do the majority of the boring house stuff. We trade off each others skills, I organise stuff, he does the most amazingly practical stuff that I just cant do. It works for us. When it starts to fall down is when one gets resentful of the other and it all gets horrible. I got upset for a while and it did us no favours. It took A n W's mum to give me a sense of perspective - however annoying and untidy he is I couldn't stand it if I lost him (sorry if this upsets you AnW). You either accept things as they are or you explain how you feel and what you are asking for in a way in which the other people understand and make things change. Life is just too short. Sorry, I don't mean to upset anyone with this, just trying to explain how I (mostly) cope with someone who never, ever lifts a finger.

Still not done any flying, but must get on or we will be in CHAOS tomorrow when it just isn't an option. ....Hyperventilates quietly......

This is very true - the key is communication. If they don't know you want them to do it, how can they do it? (And don't expect them to just know, they don't!)

DH and I have had a nice very amicable chat on the way home about the benefits of having a list! He was a bit unsure if it would work for him, so I pointed out how much it would have helped him today. He's gone out again now to do something else he forgot to do today! He's really made today hard work for himself, going back to places he'd already been to get the things he'd forgotten, even driving right past where he was meant to be going and coming home, then remembering and having to go back. Seeing as we live 10 miles away from the town, this isn't a fun day for him to have had. He's got a lot on his mind this week, it's just frustrating that he's making a hard week so much harder for himself just by not concentrating.

I do love him really and you are right, I would be lost without him. I've calmed down now. We had a nice evening out, I cried buckets but got lots of support and encouragement from friends which is what I needed, so feeling quite a bit better now.

I'm going to write off today and start again tomorrow!

Mudbath yeah can't wait to get away :) the kids don't know yet. My mate is helping me get the caravan out of storage on Saturday, will tell Miss A & W then, they will be so excited. Hope you have a great time too. Well done to your DD on her piano exam.

Toots glad you had a great time with jo :D Ermmmm that list either A have a KICK and get it done :p or B ditch it. I know which I would go for ;) FIND A DENTIST

Pigpen please don't run away we couldn't so this without you ;) Brainblock and the highest mark WOW I bow before you, well done :) Please don't sue toots :p Fliiping 'eck woman you don't do things by halfs do you! Just read your next post. I know you don't do hugs and fluffiness but you are getting a HUG wrapped in a wet mackeral with a fluffy mule to boot ;) *runs away quickly*

Flower count me in for a piggers visit :) and you list missus, wayyyyyyyyyy to long. Ditch it, it wears me out whizzing over it!!!! Hope DS comes to his senses soon. I tend to think you need to let him find out the hard way like you did with DD, tough love but he will thank you in the long run.

    Dusty
hope the funeral went well (IYSWIM) hugs

Hex hope your DS has had a great birthday day. You are so right about OH/DP/DH's most of them have no idea that they are annoying you by not doing things or doing them the 'wrong' way, the key is to discuss things. I am sure it is not intentional on their part (I bet we annoy them just as much at times, just don't tell them I said that!) and we all know they are not mind readers. We were a good team and I miss DH so much. OK that's it I need chocolate now!

SarahS hope you have a great time on hols :)

Summer hugs for you, give DP a kick up the bum from me and then have a w/e away with the girls instead ;) Men just don't get it do they!

Valli LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you are evil but I do like you :D

soappie great news about BB :) hope you both enjoy meeting the other members of the flygang this w/e. There was a caravan docu on the other week, wonder if it was the same one.

Just done my dailies today - not in the house long enough for much else.

Witchypoo - hope they get OH's meds sorted OK, I had UC myself 5 years ago so I know what he's going through (had to have the surgery though)

Pigen - if you need anything just pm, I'm not far away.

I've had a pretty traumatic day at work today, but it has brought home to me how lucky I am and that my family is well.

Off to bed, see you all tomorrow.
