My biggest worry is the weekend - there's so many cals in booze! Any tips?
Ooh well done you! Run an extra bit for me will you?
Re the weekend - alternate alcohol and non-alcohol (so if you are a G&T girl - then 2nd one will just be the T, or have a cordial and soda water) or be the designated driver if going out!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Never too late - I find the lowest calorie booze to drink is vodka with diet coke, it's about 55 cals in a 25ml measure. I know some pubs do 35mls so that would make 77cals. A 'normal' glass of white wine is 89cals.
HTHNeed to sort my life out! :T0 -
Yup, today is a new day everyone.
Nothing hugely amazing from me but not totally crazy either.
Forturnate for me I dont drink so I dont have to account alcohol into the equation.
A week left and I'd love to get something off over the month but its looking like a sts at the moment.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Thanks for the tips re: booze Dragon and Taffy. I'm not much of a spirits girl, mainly cos of the mixers so I am thinking of either drinking sparkling wine and alternating with water (woo hoo!) or driving and then of course, not drinking. My other thought is to just drink what I fancy and head to the gym to work it off ;-)Melt 7 lbs in May challenge - aim to lose 7 lbs

Hi all. weigh in day is looming for me again tomorrow, don't know where this week has gone!
DD is back at school now, so food has been easier this week, although i must admit to eating chocolate  and not exercising very much! Although i've had a hectic week, have been using the car more, and not walking.
On the plus side, i'm doing 2 hours of 'paid' cleaning a day now - so that should help. Haven't managed to go swimming this week because of work, and looking like saturday is out as well. Can't do sunday's as DH is out from 9-3.
Don't know how the weigh in will go this week, hopefully a loss, will have to wait and see.
see you all in the morning. xx:money::money::money::money:

Good luck for tomorrows weigh in Posh its hard fitting everything in when schedules are jam packed so I hope you find a way. Do you do workout dvd's or anything like that?
Good luck anyone weighing today.
Popped on scales myself and am 135.6lb (61.5kg) cant remember my last weigh in but I'm happy with that really and I'm feeling much more positive for the end of the month even if my TOTM is making me so emotional I'm crying at stupid things, well better then being a total biatch though.
Been on treadmill every day I'm following the Runner's World plan so have run for 3minutes then walked for 1minute x6 twice and will do it again tomorrow, takes 24 minutes and covers around 2 miles, so as you can tell I'm a plodder rather than a jogger or runner. In between I've done some power walking.
Been ok-ish with food, did have a caramel choc bar (tesco value where there's 5 for about 45p) didnt want to feel deprived and maybe start a binge off.
Pancakes for dinner tonight!! Eeek!! We do use sweetener rather than sugar though so at least a little damage limitation going on.
Have a wonderful day in the sunshine everyone0 -
Thanks GC81, and no i don't do any exercise video's or anything really! (i am a bit lazy!
) My only exercise is the school run and swimming (when i can fit it in) - so i really don't know how i manage to lose every week.
I have just about cut out all chocolate and crisps, biscuits, takeaway's,cheese sandwiches and fizzy drinks.
I eat special k with red berries or other cereal for breakfast.
Lunch is baked spuds or tuna on ryvita or boiled egg and soldiers or soup - very rarely have sandwiches but occassionally cheese on toast.
Tea is just a smaller plateful of what i would normally have.
Snack's include, slimfast chocolate bars, cereal bars, fruit, yogurt -anything that is under 100 cals!
I drink lots of volvic strawberry flavoured water, as i seem to be able to drink more of it than plain water.
Anyway, today i lost another 2lb! which is really goodcos this week has been challenging to say the least!
Sorry for the long post, but i know some of you must wonder how i seem to manage it when it doesn't seem like i try very hard and you all seem to put 110% in!
Have a good week all, and see you in May!!! xx:money::money::money::money:

WAY TO GO!!!! Poshy, thats brilliant. Shows what cutting out can do doesnt it. Well done.
I wish I could swim, maybe I'll take adult lessons when both my 2 are at school.
Once girls go to their dad's today I'm going to do my 3rd session of my run/walk training, looking forward to it even if I do go a fabulous shade of bright red, but I dont seem to have worked hard enough for that colouring lol
I'm loving my treadmill at the moment (hope it continues) I do want to go outside to run/walk though.
Food....hmm...had about an inch across of chocolate swiss roll last night, it was very yummy and I didnt feel guilty. Today I shall be 100% good
Have a great day everyone0 -
hiy all, didnt weigh in on tuesday because it was totm and it would have been all over the place. i found a way to tackle the stodge and chocky crvings though. if i have a couple of oatcakes with cottage cheese or a mini marmite chedder portion i feel i have had something substantial and i don't crave treats. keep me full for ages:rotfl:"that grady! won't sit next to a black child in church! but eats eggs, shoot right out a chickens !!!!!!" from fried green tomatoes:rotfl::smileyheaMSE is where my friends live :smileyhea0

My totm aswel, hasnt been too bad though this time wonder if its because I'm trying not to fill up on rubbish food and exercising more. Got a "womens appointment" monday at the doctors, think I'm having a MOT lol everything should be ok though.
Watching London Marathon today, love watching it. Hope Katie Price does well in it, think its great how many people raise money doing this.
Hope you all have a good day0
