  • Good Morning All,

So I've now caught up with all the convo and it seems there are a lot of losers at the mo - which is fantastic stuff! Well done to you. Also a big HI and well done to the rest of us too, at least we're trying and not going crazy up, up, up! :j

I'm avoiding the scales at the moment but I think I've gone back up to 10st10 so back to square one methinks. Will weigh in tomorrow morning, honest :)

So I met a friend this w/end and she has convinced me to try her "1200 cals a day" eating plan (she lost 11lbs in Jan on it apparently and she's not big at all, very close to taregt weight always ). Had my first day on it yesterday and when it came round to dinner time, I only had 250 cals left so had an apple and banana and a teeny weeny bit of leftover Sunday roast dinner.

In all honesty, I didn't feel hungry but did find myself thinking about (or rather obessing about :D) food all day. I'm entering my food intake in calorie count and have already input what I'm planning to eat today and there's not even any rooom for some fruit. Having said that I am planning to go for a run tonight so surely the cals I'd work off doing that mean I can snack on something, as long as its healthy right?

Anyway, my mate reckons that I'm guaranteed to lose 3 lbs on this in a week so we'll see. Would be good to see some results but as always, I know it's my own fault and lack of exercise that is to blame. Only 9 days of this challenge to go

Dragon - good to hear you're up to eating 1000 cals a day now. Overdose on the veg sweetie, there's hardly any cals in it and it's so good for you!

As for the rest of you (and Dragon of course!), let's make the most of this gorgeous weather and be more active, even if it's walking at lunchtimes or whatever. We can do it guys, remember P M A :D

    Have fantastic Tuesdays!

    Hugs,
    NTL

Dragon I was going to suggest uping your water intake and RICE them a few times a day. Hope they feel better soon. And well done on the calories too, thats a great step :)

Thanks GC81 - um what do you mean by RICE?

Sorry Dragon, it means Rest Ice Compression Elevation.
I would see a dr though if it is causing pain and worrying you.

My day still going ok I need to do some yoga tonight stretch out a little.

One problem I am finding though, my ankles are swelling and getting really tight - does anyone have any idea what I can do to stop/help this?

Dragon, I'm not sure if it'd be any use to you, but my dad used to have trouble with his feet, and he used peppermint cooling footsprays or lotions - it didn't take away the pain he used to get obviously - but other than that it seemed to help him with the heat and tightness in them. (I think the bodyshop do quite a big range of all different products)

Apart from that he used to just elevate them whenever he could - even when he went to bed. Started off just propping them on a pillow - but ended up getting one of those fancy nancy electric beds!

    xx

Thanks folks! I spent most of Yesterday in bed and hoo boy did that help! I had forgotten about peppermint spray (d'oh!) - I can't but anything on my right ankle (it takes me half an hour after putting a sock on to stop retching!) so rubbing ointment and compresses on that is a no go - but a spray - yep that could work!

ooh I was down a pound and a half this morning!

Well done Dragon - that's brilliant.

Today food wise not tooooo bad! When I work on my puter I have this very bad urge to eat! I know I shouldn't but I just can't help it. Anyway, I had about 5 points left so had some cashew nuts, nibbley things are what I like best. 10 cashews are 1 point, but when I finished nibbling and weighed what was left I had eaten about 8 points!!!(No way did I eat 80 nuts) I did get 1 of my assignments finished though!! I know I am over by 3 points today, but this is much better than the rest of the week, so hopefully I can cut it down again tomorrow.
Evenings are my worst time, espec as DH is STILL AWAY! Should have gone for 10 - 14 days and today is day 18 and it's looking like he won't be home till at least Friday! Oh well, the joys of being married to an offshore worker!!! But think of the money hahahahaha
Now of to bed, night night everyone.

  • Hello My Lovelies,

Hugs to all who need or just want them :)

So I finally faced my fear of the scales and I'm 149 lbs or 10st9 ish which is ok I suppose, considering I've not done anything to reduce it ;-)

Am on this 1200 cals a day thing now though I gave in to evil Bernard Matthews and his turkey drummers last night! They were lush though, although it meant I was about 300 cals over, guess the cornetto didn't help either!

But today is another day and all that so I'm being good. Food so far:

    B - strawberry/banana smoothie
L - yummy mango and lime chicken fillets with salad and some toms
D - not sure, prob leftovers thrown into a stir fry

And planning to go for a run tonight too so I guess it all helps.

My biggest worry is the weekend - there's so many cals in booze! Any tips?

  • Leo - big cuddle re: the scales reading. Remember that women especially fluctuate 2-3 lbs easily from day to day so don't focus on it too much. Just ensure you go out for a walk in the gorgeous sunshine or something instead and you'll feel a hundred times better!
