Hello everyone
NSD. Have spent £25.22 so far and just over a week till payday. And in case anyone doesn't know, I am only feeding myself, am on a strict diet and have a few food allergies, so although I have to buy more expensive stuff; I cook and bake all my own stuff, I even make my own burgers, minceballs and sausages as I'm gluten free and have given up looking for expensive GF burgers, meatballs and sausages, so I just make my own. It takes a bit of planning, but works pretty well for me.
I've sorted out both freezers, am managing to be more organised and hoping to spend less as I really need to get going faster, this paying off my debts lark is taking to long lol.
Hope you're all doing well.
Cheers
Casper

[QUOTE=flying_fresian;20549991But!! I noticed on my way out *coughscouredthereceiptwithafinethoothcombcough* that I had been charged £7.46 instead of £5 for one of the catfoods, [/QUOTE]
I did my "big shop" at the weekend. After reading lots on here I too did the "coughscouredthereceiptwithafinethoothcombcough" Good job I did, there was an offer on the lynx deo sticks 2 for £3. SO we bought 2 identical ones, but on the receipt they hadn't taken the 62p off. Went to the customer services, she obviously thought I was confused and quoted me another Lynx offer  Confused? Me? Anyway after she checked got my 62p back. No giftcard tho

Did you ask for the giftcard?
I used my best Wide Eyed Innocent face (As opposed to my Devious MSE Face) and said "I thought I saw something in the Asda magazine about getting a giftcard if you were overcharged". She wasn't pleased...:rotfl:
I had a very MSE dinner tonight - slow cooked lamb shoulder, which smelled incredible when I got homeThe lamb came from my dads friend who has a croft Up North so cost me nothing and was YUMMY!!
I am currently trying to find nice recipes to use the leftover meat with. I think something with tomatoes (I have loads of canned tomatoes!) but I don't have any fresh veg left - anyone got any ideas?0 -

Evening all
Just to update the spends to 10/04, spent £74.10 in MrA's - seemed to be quite a lot for what I had in the trolley! Went away for Easter and had a lovely time even if the weather wasn't too good - did buy Sunday lunch out but found a good Carvery for £6.95 a head! Think we may be able to come in around budget - it will be tight but we might just be able to do it.
Off to update my sig now.
Keep safe and well everyone.WEIGHTLOSS SINCE JUNE 2009 - 5 ST 2LB0 -
Am having a hard time with packed lunches this week and last. As I don't have to prepare for DS I'm disinclined to do it for myself BUT the fear of the cost makes me do it. Today, however, I couldn't be bothered constructing lunch so early in the morning so I just stuffed some bread, cheese and a tomato into my bag. Totally uninspiring and uninteresting.
Anyway, NSD today (apart from biscuits for work but they pay it back). I also seem to be feeding the street. I have one son but had 3 kids at my table, all with Rosti, fish fingers and beans. Yesterday I had 3 kids for pizza. Is this REALLY what it's like having a family? Gee whizz, it's exhausting, I take my hat off to you all :TGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
Hi all
Well having gone away for my mega shop (6 months) store cupboard stuff
This month grocery challenge we signed up for only £50 for milk/bread/fruit/veg - we've all been away and todays first real day home - so this month is a bit of a cheat.
We have thus far only got milk £9/50 and instead of rushing for potatoes tonight (as per meal plan) when hungry we swapped a rice tea for tonights planned one and I will get potatoes tomorrow with cash.
Otherwise we have meal planned and have lots in the fridge/freezer/cupboards.
Goodluck the rest of you - (we normally spend £200 a month for 2 kids 2 adults and various pets/kids chums and OH when he visits)
Rubberised a turkey I got reduced when away and its now ready to freeze for various teas, stock is made and changed into gravey and some is left for school sandwiches tomorrowTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Hiya my DD hates sandwiches so she takes a flask and cupasoups to school with some snack stuff.
I usually have a stash of food in my desk at work - ryvitta, rice cakes, marmite, tinned fish, tinned soup and stuff to just shove in or heat up like instant noodles etc - so if I feel uninspired it helps me to choose something - might help?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
