Afternoon all
Just an update on spends, had 2 nsd's this week, but spend £1.22 on bread on Wednesday and £4.15 (I can't remember what on) in MrT's Thursday. Just done weekly shop at MrA's and that came in at £80.98 so total shopping spends this week are £86.35 - am still "just" below budget - but we're away for Easter weekend for 4 days - but some of the food I have bought today as offers were to good to miss! Hoping bill won't be anymore than £85.00 next week - children will be away for 2 days so that will help!
Keep safe and well everyone, have a good weekend.WEIGHTLOSS SINCE JUNE 2009 - 5 ST 2LB0 -

That with a tub of sauce between 2 (3 at a push) and some Mr T value sausages (4 for DS, 3 for me) is one of DS's favourite meals :TCheryl0 -
Afternoon,
Did a shop to last us for the next few days - meat and bits from MrS, a few bits from Mr T and then £9.96 at the greengrocers. Total spend of £49.29 - which for me is amazing - and we have plenty in for the next few days or week.
HM pizzas for lunch as the kids finished at lunchtime - using up some reduced tomatoes to make the sauce and then the bits and pieces out of the fridge. Need to make a coq au vin for tonight (using dregs from 2 bottles) as dh is playing in a concert and we will need to eat quickly afterwards.

I regularly pick up the tortellini (and tubs of tomato & mascarpone sauce - rarely see the ravioli) when in Whoopsie. I got 7 bags of the tortellini last night (mine was 50p/bag), which I've repacked into 25 portions and dropped into the freezer. (They claim one bag serves 2, but I do smaller portions)

oh can u freeze it ? that sounds nice with sausages....i got x2 reduced chicken breasts in iceland for a quid so i thought id do a tomato sauce and chicken kebabs with the pasta...thanx for the ideas on portion size i was holding the bag up in the shop trying to see how much there was and judge portions accordingly....the coop is fab for reduced stuff here...is yours like that ?

the tortellini freezes just fine - I sometimes cook from frozen, but am currently trying to get into the habit of pulling out to defrost (reduced cooking time = lower gas bill
)
my DS is almost 18, and I was doing 14 or 15 bits of tortellini each - but have reduced to 13 over the last few months.
our C0-0p can be hit or miss for reductions, but I suspect I'll not see many over the next few months - our S'flds closes on 15th, and re-opens as a Mr M after a rebranding that's taking 12 weeks!! During that time it's either a 3.5mile round trip to Mr T or pay the C0-0p prices :eek: (Hence the purchase of all 7 bags last night - I'd normally have only taken 4 as I'm only feeding 2 of us on a regular basis)Cheryl0 -

Been to lidl this am and only got what was on my list, it came to £8.19 so if I include the wine I bought I am over budget this week and children are at home next week
Think I may have to increase my £50 a week budget?
Any ideas for 2 adults and 2 primary school aged children who need a packed lunch?0 -
I know I'm a bit late but can you put me down for £70 this month, please. That's for just me, to include all food, toiletries and cleaning goods.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0
