    Hiya

£150 for me this month please. That is myself and my son who is 2 and a few meals for my husband (we are separated - long story). Also 2 cats. My son is in nappies so they are included and I include alcohol in my budget too. Might be a bit tight but we will see. Overspent last month so am on a mission to keep on target. I am starting by not doing an online shop as I end up stocking up but overspending in order to spend enough to get money off.

Cupboards and freezer all well stocked. Veg box delivery on order for next Thurs. Don't need much this weekend. Just made some of Twink's lovely hobnobs today so don't need biscuits (did half with sultanas and half without) and I have the ingredients for a cake or two. I bet I have some packets of biscuits in the cupboards too. Don't need any toiletries that I can think of but will get loo rolls if on offer as my stock is quite low (although enough for the month). Have a few coupons to use which will help.

Good luck everyone. Off to catch up on posts.

Just a small spend on milk & some pan scourers today.

Mr T had loads of RTC meat again, even at 9am. But I didn’t get any as I really didn’t need any more & I must use up what I have in. We are off to Oz at the beginning of August & I reckon I could probably make what we have in last until then! :p

But Mum was complaining about grocery costs, their reduced income, that she never sees much RTC meat etc. So I pointed her in the direction on Mr T. I will check in with her tomorrow.

Been and done this weeks food shop after tea so I wasn't hungry! Thought I might get some whoopsies but apart from 2 choc croissants for 45p and 2 cobs for 15p there wasn't much at all and no real bargains. Thought going at 6.45 ish would have been a good time but not at my local morrisons :(

Anyway, done mums shopping which I will take tomorrow and I only spent in total plus the couple of bits I got yesterday (milk and bread), £19.11. This is very good for me for a week. I should need milk in the week probably another 8pts and will get some bread tomorrow (we order once a week from a local baker). I won't need more in the week as I have some in the freezer. Got some good offers too. Cheese half price, Bournville bars 2 for £2, Pampers Nappies 25% off, Savoury Rice half price, Petit Filous BOGOF. Besides those I only bought, 2l milk, 2 bananas, some mushrooms, houmus, a cauli (99p) which I will share with mum, choc buttons for my son and some ibuprofen. Didn't go to mad at all so very pleased!

Even resisted the alcohol! No wine under £4 as I could see to be had and quite a few empty spaces. Good for the purse though. Just enjoying a bottle of pear cider before bed. Cheers :)

    August grocery challenge: £50
    Spent so far: £37.40 :A
  • Been busy reading lots of the posts and I'm really impressed by how little everyone spends - I must be wasting so much money!! Not sure how much I spend at the moment but it's much too much - so going to read all the tips, try and plan some menus and join in. Will try for £250 for April please and then hopefully keep cutting back after this. Should be able to do it - only me, 2 daughters (7 & 11) and 2 kittens oh and 2 guinea pigs:rolleyes: .

    Looking forward to the challenge!

  • I have already spent £102.64 of my £220 budget but £20 of that was on Easter eggs.
Going away for a few days next week so that should help

Could you please put me down for £300 came across this thread yesterday morn and decided since it was the 1st of the month I would like to take the challenge! And also we seem to waste a lot of food and buy a lot of rubbsih:eek:. Anyway went off to Asda yest (after tea-time) with a list, made from my meal planner :p and spent £54.29. this was all food stuff as OH gets paid on 25th and I usually go out and get all the non perishable stuff then. My goodness my trolly never looked so healthy was actually proud pushing it round the shop (sad I know)! £300 is for Me OH, DS7, DD8 1 large dog, a hamster and 10 tropical fish! My £300 is a complete guess as I have no idea how much I spend at ASDA. I work for Asda anI get 10% discount which is helpful in some ways but also makes me spend maybe a wee bit more. Will be trying this month to avoid the homeware and clothes section.:rotfl:
    Good luck everyone!
