Just had a lovely MSE trip to the cinema. I had a Cineworld voucher for £5, so my ticket cost me £1.20 and it was free parking! And five minutes drive there and back from the new house. Saw X-Men Origins : Wolverine and Hugh Jackman was looking mighty fine ;)

This has been a tough week. My eldest daughter is unwell - dizzy spells, tired, lethargic - so I've been off work looking after her. I couldn't go to my Consultant appointment because I couldn't leave her alone, and she couldn't come with me as being in the car made her upchuck - what choice did I have? And my car died - the exhaust blew, and the brakes were squeaking. Fortunately my sister paid some of it on her credit card and is letting me pay it back over the next couple of weeks but if it wasn't for her I would be well and truly screwed :( So skint I can't put credit on my phone, but all my bills are paid up, and once I pay my sister back I am on an even keel again.

My hip is playing up badly, but the heat pads are helping and the new regime the locum put me on definitely seems to help. I think the stress of the week has exacerbated things. Now if I could just get through to appointments to get myself a new appointment with my consultant, I could start planning again. Argh!!

I applied for a Co-op Smartsaver, and they turned me down so I know I need to do something about my credit rating. But I just think about it and my head explodes, so maybe I'll wait a little bit longer before dealing with it.

And waiting to hear from the letting agents about the deductions they want to make for the old house - had some advice, so know what should be acceptable, but waiting to see.

Thank God for my kids though - they keep me sane, totally understanding and supportive. Now where did I put those lovely drugs so I can get some sleep?! :rotfl:

Oh Merry what week you`ve had. I hope the pills are working & you are getting some rest. <<hugs>>

Thank goodness for kids ehh? when you`re down they always come along & give you a cuddle...then you realise that all the other bad luck stuff just fades away.

Hope your daughter gets well soon & that your hip pain eases soon.

Well the end of a weekend and despite it being a bit of a nightmare week, it was a lovely peaceful one. All three girls have beautiful, clean hair - mini-me has had the meanie check. It makes me mad that I spend the weekend combing through her head of tight curls doing a lice clear-out and some parents don't bother so she gets them again almost straight away

Last night, mini-me had a horrendous nose-bleed. Cue one child scrubbing the carpet to get rid of the bloodstains, one child running cloths under the cold tap whilst I kept her calm and applied pressure. Ruddy scary seeing that much blood running out of my baby's nose but she was ok in the end - phew.

Manicures and pedicures complete, and generally speaking everyone seems to be in a good place. I reminded myself that, yeah I needed a bit of assistance, but I made it through another financial crisis in one piece. And yes, I am well ticked off about the deposit, but I have six months to save up a new one if the landlord wants us out of here and I have done it before.

I am a much better person with my money than I have ever been, and keep a very strict track of my money. Had some fun with Skylight's spreadsheet (thank you Skylight), forecasting things for the next few months. I know things rarely work out the way you plan, but it was nice to feel so in control. XHTB is moving out of the house we initially rented together, so there is half the deposit due back from there. He's moving in with his girlfriend and seems happy, which is good - if he's happy, then mini-me is happy when she sees him, which is what's important. :D

This week, I need to contact my Consultant and get a new appointment. I need to contact DIAL as I still haven't received the copies of the reports from my Dr and Consultant for my DLA Tribunal. And I have to take the car in to Skoda as there is a dodgy nut on my tire that they are going to fix for me for £20.

Off to a friend's farewell meet up next Saturday - she is off to Luxembourg to work, and I want to say a proper goodbye. She is an absolute diamond - my sister from another mother - so I know there's going to be loads of tears. But I am so incredibly proud of her taking this step, even if I will miss her loads and loads.

Am watching 'E' cos it's Kimora Lee Simmons and the Kardashians, and I love looking at their clothes, make up and expensive exotic lifestyles. All whilst tucked up under my duvet under the sofa :rotfl: My bankruptcy anniversary is coming up in a few weeks, and I cannot believe how far I have come.

Well done Merry and enjoy your duvet time!

I'm lucky - my son never had the 'little visitors' and my daughter has got very straight hair and so far hasn't had them, but when she does hopefully she'll be easy to comb and treat.

My daughter has very thick hair, running that comb through her hair was a nightmare.

It is horrendous - all three of the girls are half-caste (elder two's dad is Asian whilst mini-me's dad is white) so it's part-afro which knots as well as very tight curls!! But we did it, and their hair looks rather gorgeous - all shiny brown-black and gleaming with health. I make them sound like heathy dogs :rotfl: but I love seeing them all clean and fresh, ready to start the week!
