Nice to have you back PP!!!:j _party_ :grouphug: It's not the same here without you!!

Take it easy and let Mr PP spoil you rotten - you deserve it!;) He's become quite popular here in his own right! - have to fight him for the computer if he gets his own user name!:D

Had a busy day today.Took DS1 to Worcester for his college interview - cost me a McDonalds breakfast  but it seemed to go ok.He's now got to find a company who are willing to take on an apprentice electrician.
Then went straight off to work where we had lunch out at a pub followed by a trip round the West Midlands safari Park(hard life eh? )

Then returned to find the house looked like a bombsite!

Am off now till Wednesday. My sister is visiting from Hastings so we will be going out a bit.Going to the Blists hill museum(Iron Bridge) on Tuesday!:j

    Have a good weekend all!

It's lovely to see you back PP. Make sure you rest. I know it does your head in a bit, but if you don't follow drs orders you may have to go back.

Thank you BRZL for your tips. Although i have what others would consider good wages, a good proportion of our savings went on the wedding last october. I wouldn't change that for the world though as i am only planning on doing it once. Then we have had some big bills: DHs tax bill, kitten vet fees x2, 2 lots of cars needing repairs even though we got it done cheaply, DH's MOT and now mine next week. Plus blowing £200 on maternity clothes when i would normally buy an entire wardrobes worth of primark/george for that price.

I know i have got a good thing going with the SAT marking and shouldn't moan, but know i want to be off work for 11 months, and it worries me that things will be very tight. (Don't want to end up on the debt free wannabee board)

I know you have been very OS lately which must be helping. I will have to try to get the shopping bills down again as we have slipped back a bit while i've been feeling grotty.

Anyway, i'm just feeling it this week as back to work means a tank of petrol every week and a half, and i've had to fork out £15 this week on peoples leaving presents as that is the done thing. I've already set up some savings accounts for all future big bills, and i think i just need to look closely at the budget as it is usually the little things that add up.

I guess 2 bottles of wine a week and not buying sanitary towels will even it out a bit :rotfl:

    Evening all :hello:

PP - good to see you're back! Welcome home! Make sure you keep your beady eyes on your OH though - I think he was getting a little too adicted! ;)

Bargain Rzl and Lucie - congratulations on your savings! :j :j

Aussielass - it's a deal! I'll book my ticket over to Oz now :D

Well, it's officially the end of term. :j :j I can't quite believe it. I'm absolutely exhausted and am looking forward to the next 2.5 weeks of lie-ins! Actually, I've got quite a lot planned including wedding bits and pieces with my stressed out mum.

All the teachers had takeaway pizza for lunch. It was ok, but far too greasy. Ah well, a little bit of a "treat" like that makes you realise how good our OS lifestyle and food is! ;) :A

We're going to a rugby match tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it, and we're staying over in sunny Leicester - a deal in the Holiday Inn, along with a yummy curry.

I need to empty the WM, so I'll say goodbye for now!

    Evening all!

    Welcome back PP!!

Ive had some sort of good news today - the bank refunded my charge from last week's telewest debacle. It was two days ago - and I didnt even notice until today :o . I check the online banking every day, but when they put it back I must have been very asleep or something.... Oh well, put a smile on my face anyway!

Today was massively busy at work and im not entirely sure why, so now im really exhausted. Ive got to work tomorrow too. Oh well, I could do with the cash! Boyf worked a lot of hours yesterday too so his wages will be at least decent this week. Still needs to find another job though! Im looking forward to the interest on my savings tomorrow too, there isnt much and interest will be really really small, but I dont care - I havent had accounts earning interest in a LONG time! Its nice to be finally able to get money for free!

Anyway, the house is a pit and im starving, so im off to cook and clean for a little bit.

Hope you all have a great evening!

    Jo xx

PP - Welcome back hun! The mornings just haven't been the same without you. Stay in bed and do as you're told (most of the time anyway ;))

There's a Next sale this weekend, but the city branches (which are closed Sat and Sun) had theirs today instead... I didn't know until I passed by one of the shope on the way to the station this evening, and I picked up a really nice top for £6.49 (half price) which fits like a dream.

    Bye for now
    Rzl xx

Welcome back Penny Pincher! There really is no place like home is there? Hope things improve soon!

I have just made Black Saturns fruit cobbler using up blackberries from the freezer and some apples from the organic box and it was delish! Enough for tomorrow as well! Thank you Black Saturn, that will become a regular on our menu plan now.

Awwwww PP it's soooo nice to have ya back:j we've all missed ya loads. Mr PP has been quite popular on the boards. I've done my best to protect his innocence and at one point had to beat some of the more 'forward madams' off with a stick :D (PM me if you need their names and you can sort them out later. LOL)

Dr MATH prescribes plenty of rest and lot of cuddles with Mr PP (I think he's missed ya) and lots of surfing and chatting to ya mates. Have a good weekend.

I forgot to tell you all that I've been paid :j :j :j I finished the month only £75 in the red (as you can see on my signature). I'm really chuffed. Ok, it's not perfect but at least I'm on the road to savings. I'll just have to properly try to cut back. Well, two weeks to sort out my finances yet again should be enough
