    Hi Everybody,

Well it's 9pm here and I'm just having a bit of a surf. DH has to work tomorrow so won't be home tonight. DD is reading. I have just finished reading Tightwad Gazette. It was really good. I'm taping *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days* on telly. I'll watch it sometime over the w'end. I fast forward the ads. Had a few words with the real estate today. They tell me I should know by Monday now. Yeah and pigs might fly.

I'm making CQ's sausage hot pot in the SC tomorrow & thought I'd make the cobbler seeing as BRzl had me drooling over hers. I've got 3 squishy :D pears in the crisper. If you won't tell, I won't either. Do you think they'd work?

Lucie What part of oz are you going to? You said you've got 7 paydays to come. Is that 7 weeks? It will be freezing when you get here. :rotfl:It's our winter then.

Hope you all have a nice day. Byeeeeeee

Just read Ms London's post. Wow another oz tripper. We'll have to have our own OL Style meet here. :j
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Sadly no, it's 7 months! We leave home on 4th November, couple of days in Singapore & arrive in Brisbane on 7th. We've got 10 days up on the Sunshine Coast, a weekend in Brisbane to watch the rugby league (if the ARL ever announce the dates ) then 3 days to make our way to Sydney. 4 nights in Sydney then fly home on the 25th.

Not that I'm excited about it or anything.....:j :j

Well if our house sale goes through ha ha ha ha (cynical laugh) ;) we will be moving in 2 weeks. We will be living close to Brisbane Qld. It's a little island called Lamb Island. We have had a small block of land there for a little while. It's about a 20 min ferry trip from Bne. We hope to build a little house ( 2 b'droom) in the next 6 months. We got the plans back today :jto submit them into council & with fingers crossed we are coming over to the UK to work/holiday after DH whacks it up. :D It's a kit home. We have our ancestary visa now. We have been planning this for quite some time. It's taken a lot of hard work & dedication to get this far as we had a construction business and we had to sell our machinery etc. The last major hurdle is this house. I have family in Scotland. My grandparents came from there. My other g'parents were Irish.

If anybody comes over here and visits Bne, ( I live 3 1/2 hrs away from there now) let me know and I will try and meet up with you.

    Hello everyone

I am having yet another poopy day - had a stress event last night, woke up in the middle of the night and blubbed, and events have been preying on my mind this morning and I ended up having the blubbs at my desk. I know it's underlying depression driving this rather than what my manager said to me. I have handled much, much worse in my time and have been able to respond positively to negative things rather than in this way. At the moment it takes so little to make me start to crumble it's irrational - though I am getting the care I need otherwise I would probably be a complete mess all the time. I also think I could do with more frequent breaks from work, but there isn't much leeway with just four weeks hols a year. Ms_London - d'ya need somebody to carry your suitcase per chance??

Sorry, I have read the entire thread and can't remember a word of it. As somebody mentioned it's easier to write a few wee notes about peoples' big events as you go along - I will start that tomorrow! Hugs to those who need them, whoops of joy to those who are in a happy place.

Old Style today: will be having some old style red medicine from a green bottle tonight, just one medium dose to encourage slumber.
I made some scones last night by way of therapy. They are delicious fluffy ones, and I brought them to work to give away but realised this morning that I couldn't speak to anyone for any length of time without tears welling so looks like I'll be feeding them to the freezer this evening instead.

    See you all later

Aww Snowy - Hugs and positive thoughts being sent from here.....

Been playing silly beggers with the weather today - was determined to get all the bedding dry in the lovely sunny spells we've had .........got most of it dry - just finishing in the drier now as it's black and spitty.

I've been doing paperwork for most of the morning - end of year accounts coming up soon, thought I was being very good staying on top of things and then realised it's been 3 months since I last updated everything.... where's this year gone?

Going to make DD's a big mug of hot choccy with melty marshmellows on when they come in and let them veg out for a bit, I remember last day of term being such a relief.......I'll break it to them gently that we've got a housefull of other kids next week, later!

Decided to do quiche for tea - pastry is resting and filling is cooling, will combine the 2 in a bit.

    Feel quite organised for once.

Awwwww, (((((hugs))))) Snowy, I'm really sorry you're feeling like that.

Is it my imagination or is the population of this board somewhat depleted today? No Queenie, no Ticklemouse, no MATH, no Nicki, no Lillibet... do you think the other half of the regulars have gone and started their own board without us  :rotfl: I was starting to wonder about Pooky and Snowy but then you both turned up.

BTW, AussieLass, those squishy pears should be great for the cobbler. I suspect squishy fruit works best because the juices/flavour seep into the batter

Snowy - I just wanted to send you a huge ((((((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))))))

I've had a fantastic day today moneywise. My parents are being so generous (I think they have underlying reasons though, if their savings go above £8000 then they have to start paying rent and CT again :D) Dad gave me £10 for petrol for taking them shopping, then told me to put what I wanted in the trolley, I tried to be restrained but every time I looked closely at something Mum was throwing it in afterwards, so I have some lovely smoked salmon with chili to try later :D Then Mum gave me another tenner which I used to buy DS a new rucksack as he broke his yesterday.

I managed to spend £54 in Tesco as they have started doing bras in my size (and bigger!) and they had the £3 jeans in my size too so I bought two pairs, mum bought me another pack of bras and a pair of socks and then gave me £20 towards my shopping.

Then Dad paid for lunch at a Little Chef, shame it was such a badly cooked meal :( I would never pay £5.99 for a strip of bacon, one sausage, some cold beans, charcoaled mushrooms and raw egg :(

Got home to find my Prima mag waiting for me so I'm going to have a lovely relaxing evening reading that.
