Does it really make any difference, nzs? We all knew what was meant.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

    For Firefox and free. :)

    • Ignore Users - strip out the threads, posts and even quotes of the person you're ignoring. It's as if they don't even exist!
    • Ignore Threads - strips out threads without the need to ignore the user who started them.
    • Ignore Prefix - for forums using the prefix/category feature, you can ignore prefixes as if they didn't exist.
    • Highlight Users - find users much more easily as their threads and posts will be changed to the colour of your choosing.
    • Highlight Threads - highlight the threads that you may need to find easily again later.
    • Context Menu - All of these actions can be made by right clicking on the user's name, thread title or prefix and using the 'FfVb Management' menu.
    • Bottom Bar - an optional bottom bar sticks to the bottom of your browser so it's always available, and offers forum navigation, page navigation and commonly used vb links such as Search, UserCP, New Thread and New Postso they're always available.
    • Sidebar Thread List - Click on the 'Sidebar' button to load your favorite forum's thread list into the side bar. You can choose to have it be static or auto reload at regular intervals of your choosing.
    • Import Ignore List - Already have a list of people set in vb's ignore list? Don't worry about having to re-add them. Just go to your ignore list on the forum and click where it says "import to FfVb"
Very handy. It is experimental though.

Brilliant post Fermi. Can we also have a one IP address, one username rule to stop idiots logging on with multiple usernames and disrupting/trolling the forums?
What good would that do? It is an unworkable solution as people who post while at work/college/school may have the same shared external IP address as others in the same organisation.

Spamming and trolling is a fact of life in forums with open membership. It is just one of those things you have to live with.

I'm only just back from a week's holiday, but fortunately I'm away for the weekend too. Just time to get the washing done ...
