The only people that lose out here is the insurance companies, this moronic act just puts our premiums up.
Anyone stupid enough to vandalise something probably isn't capable of comprehending the banking issues anyway, they should stick to licking windows and loitering outside McDonalds with the other mouth breathers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. what are you basing these assumptions on? some half baked notions and an episode of the Young Ones? these protests are people from many backgrounds. organisations like socialst worker do see the demonstrations as a "branding" opportunity, handing out placards to those attending. but this doens't mean the majority care about or even know about what socialist worker stands for.
I am sure you are correct in your description of the majority of demonstrators and you can apply the same logic to bankers. Sure, there are some that are greedy and corrupt but no doubt the majority are just normal people who want to give their families a good life and are not earning millions. Just because someone wears a suit to work doesn't mean they are the antichrist etc. It's easy to resort to cliches isn't it? Not everything your read in the Guardian is true you know...0 -

A new low for MSE.
A thread in which some members are suggesting it's ok for protesters to harm someone's innocent kids to make a point, and then other members thank them for their posts.

Yes, but it was only scouselife and a couple of others, whom he obviously impresses with his scintillating invective. Sometimes I agree with his to-the-point posts, but not that one. When people resort to the personal abuse of other posters they lose all respect. It suggests they're losing the argument too.0 -
Right, I'm off to my local Barclays with my gang to punch the girl behind the counter in the face to make a similar clumsy, pathetic and thick point. I'm calling my group 'Bank Girls Need To Be Punched In The Face For Losing Our Money'. And we're wearing costumes, just like Fathers for Justice. Gonna be ace.
