I'm in two minds about this. On the one hand I think the bankers really deserve to get their feathers ruffled and they should be put on trial for fraud.
However, most of these 'anarchists' are usually well-off, middle class rebels who like to wear Che t-shirts and keffiyahs, stand around shouting about class war and selling the Socialist Worker but never really have to worry about losing their job as they normally have some sort of inheritance to fall back on. Very few of them seem to be genuinely working class folk angry at the system and its easy to rage against the system when you don't have anything to lose. I also think that inciting violence goes against the ideals of a utopia unless its a communist one.0 -

marching in the Stop the War marches. i tell you it was bloody freezing. But I don't think all the protestors are "anarchists". this is rather a 'daily mail' interpretation. many are peaceful and just wanting the leaders to take note. a couple of people throwing a brick through a window does not a riot make....Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

what are you basing these assumptions on? some half baked notions and an episode of the Young Ones? these protests are people from many backgrounds. organisations like socialst worker do see the demonstrations as a "branding" opportunity, handing out placards to those attending. but this doens't mean the majority care about or even know about what socialist worker stands for. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

Pah.
If they were proper anarchists they wouldn't be working in a traditional time model with a start, middle and end. Proper anarchists work in a postmodern, non-linear, anti-structure with no discernable commencement or extreme terminus.
Right, I'm off to my local Barclays with my gang to punch the girl behind the counter in the face to make a similar clumsy, pathetic and thick point. I'm calling my group 'Bank Girls Need To Be Punched In The Face For Losing Our Money'. And we're wearing costumes, just like Fathers for Justice. Gonna be ace.0 -

no i'm not. i realize the term "anarchist" is a very misused term. a little like "feminist" or "socialist". it's bandied about as an insult without any real analysis or understanding of the ideology behind it.Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
We're mixing up what we're talking about here. Not all protesters are anarchists and the two should not be used interchangeably, or we stand to lose even more of our personal freedoms. For that matter, not all anarchists are violent.
I reserve my right to go on a march to protest against a government of any make up, but I'm not an anarchist and never will be.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
