DH turns 30 tomorrow, but his "party" was on saturday. His sister set up a "treasure hunt" where he was given just an envelope with a clue where to find the 1st present, clue to 2nd pressie on 1st pressie etc. So he had 30 little parcels to find. I thought it was quite fun, and we did have a good laugh as to where som of these pressies were hidden - like under the rug, making people sit in certain chairs, the clues were written out as little rhymes and just printed out and stuck on the pressies.0

My husband turns thirty in May... I was thinking about doing either:
1. A kid's theme party - he's a big kid and I think he would really love it, particularly if we could rent an adult's bouncy castle. I was thinking about doing that and getting a face painter. Main sticking point to this plan - we have a shared backyard so I'd have to ask permission from everyone in our tenement. I'm not sure what the result would be!
2. A wild west party - he also loves Clint Eastwood. There's a smallish bar I can hire out for free (there will only be around 30 of us) and I'm sure I could come up with some good decorations.
He's definitely expressed a wish for a party, so I want to give him a good one! What do you think?0 -
I am 30 in June and will have a 6 week (ish) old bby by then. I m planning to hire my local working mens. I know it doesnt cost a lot and I can save money by setting up playlist on ipod, friend is to help me with catering as my present and I am going to hire a bouncy castle for the kids (maybe the adult kids will end up on it lter on!)

How about a barndance? We went to one last weekend and had a fantastic time. It was such good fun and everyone was up and dancing. It is a good way to get friends and family to mix as you end up dancing with complete strangers. I wish I'd have done one for my 30th, will have to wait until my 40th now!!Make £10 a day in January 2014 - £39.68 / £3100

I'm having a my 30th birthday in a couple of weeks. Hall hire is free
but want to decorate in a sparkly theme... any ideas? I want to use tea lights and perhaps fairy lights and glitter. Where could I find them cheaply?!
Also want to provide some nibbly stuff... just thinking about raiding tescos... but any more interesting ideas appreciated!

I'm organising a 30th birthday party for my husband. He's never had a party before. I've been saving up and organising it for nearly 12 months. I've invited over 400 people (although I expect only a quarter will turn up). I have hired a village hall and the local social club are doing an outside bar on the premises. We're doing the food ourselves. I've bought some "30" decorations off ebay and have got some pictures of him blown up to put around the place. Have also got a lady to do some balloons for the tables etc. I'm putting a few tealights in small jam jars on the tables as well. I've managed to get him a cake in the shape of a sports car for £28 bargain! I have got a live band booked who also do DJ music and I'm taking my space hopper for the kids to play on! For his present I've bought him a caricature which I'm going to get people to sign on the night.0

I am planning to hold a 30th birthday bash in the South of England which is where my family are. I'm trying to organise everything online as I can't be on hand to view venues etc. Can anyone recommend somewhere nice but cheap in Crawley or surrounding areas? There will only be about 40 people so nowhere too huge!
Thanks. x0
