Would it not be suitable to mix with seeds and bread to feed the birds??I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0

Find someone who cleans it and turns it into fuel for their car. You might need to stoe a few ltres to make it wrthwhile.
Ask your local chippy, they'll probably have someone who they sell theirs to.

Not money saving but just a question for advice really. For those of you that have a deep fat fryer, where do you empty the oil when it needs changing?0

When it is cool, back into the container the new oil came out of, then over the local recycling area where they have a container for it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

I use an old fabric softner bottle or 2 that I keep for that very job!If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

I wash my oil (or fat - which is easier) by adding it to salted water in a large pan and boiling it for 10 minutes or so, then leave it to cool overnight and filter through and old coffee filter. Unless the fat is actually rancid it comes out as good as new and you only lose a little which you cannot get off the water. The first time you reuse it heat it slowly to let the remaining water vapour boil out of it.

Hi everyone,
We don't eat chips with dinner very often but I cooked some chips in a pot of oil and now I don't know what to do with it? I know of a lady who pours her's done the drain but surely there must be another way to throw it away?
What is that you do with any excess oil? Many thanks.0
