help i'm diseased!
norton antivirus is picking up that my system is infected with the w32.sillyfdc trojan, but despite downloading updates, running a full system scan and asking it to fix the problem it just wont go away.
i've googled but all advice i've found regarded removal is for windows XP/ME and i'm running vista.
I know it's infected one of my USB sticks too. I really need to get rid of this thing properly once and for all otherwise it is just going to spread and spread.
please help!

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
Also ~ can you tell us the LOCATION of the trojan please?:idea:0 -
its a self replicating trojan. it's on my usb, having come from my PC. I've used my usb today before I realised it was infected so there's a chance I may also have inadvertently infected the main PC i use in workknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Well there must still be a location on the hardrive that your infected with. Run Malwarebytes and lets see what happens:idea:0

same applies , run the above and then scan the USB drive on your home PC using your AntivirusEx forum ambassador
