Do you think you would get away with wearing a wig?
Well he's just taken Gordon's scalp, so he might as well wear that :rotfl:
 What a great speech.

It's on Andrew Neil's blog too, but conspicuously missing from Mark Mardell's blog (despite the fact that he actually covered the event at the time).THIS HAS JUST BEEN ON DAILY POLITICS..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Daniel Hannan's YouTube clip is apparently the most viewed clip in the world today (over 700,000 views) and is expected to exceed 1 million views by the end of today.0

            from a blog..
It turned out that I missed a sensation. When I last looked, Hannan's speech was still at the top of YouTube's "most viewed" section, with 712,860 "hits". It's been described as "the most viewed political speech in the fastest time in internet history". The speech was picked up in the US, where it has featured on the Drudge Report, Fox News and the Rush Limbaugh Show among other places, and it has clearly struck a chord with the American right. "Republicans in Washington could take a lesson from the bravery of this man," Limbaugh said on his show.It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0

Another nail in the govt's coffin!
Problem is, Gordon is so deep in denial he refuses to recognise that his government is already dead and the rotting corpse is a serious health hazard to this country.
Anyone with a conscience would have taken the country to the ballot box long before now. It seems he has a death wish ... but it's for every one of us.

I think it's because Hannan is less photogenic and is bald.
I know that sounds silly and trite, but thanks to the whole Blair 'success', image is everything and content is nothing.
IMHO there will never be a bald leader of a political party again.
Personally, I think it's a terrible shame that the world is so obsessed by appearance and image but I guess we've only got ourselves to blame...
I think he's quite okay to look at, and with an authoritative and pleasing voice.
Surely easier on the eye than Brown?0

Yes, what the Tories really need to demonstrate to the world that they are one with the ordinary people is yet another leading politician with a posh voice. One thing the Tory front bench is desperately missing is some bloke with a voice like that.0

This is the problem with so much of what he and his mob have done. There seems to be an almost total lack of understanding of individual, group or national psychology. We're utterly sunk in a mire of 'unintended consequences' from so much of what he has done.
He can't admit failures, nor say sorry. He just keeps ploughing on deeper and deeper.0

He speaks properly, agreed, not my definition of posh though.
But, hey, horses for courses. Give him a scottish accent, perhaps you'd be happier. Or maybe something more like John Prescott's!0

If everyone took the trouble to be as articulate as Daniel is, the world would be a much better place.
