Of course not, they would try to make it difficult for us to sell them anything we'd be beholden to the EU's bureaucracy and not have any say whatsoever in how it developed. Border control at Calais would turn into a right pain from time to time as well, mostly from spite at us upsetting the EU apple cart.

All of which would count for nothing - swept aside by their commercial interests in gaining access to such a vast market. The EU dances to the tune of the big Franco-German concerns.

That's just one reason why we should never have had anything to do with it.

I would hardly call that wiping the floor - something like George Galloway in America - now that was wiping the floor
  • I thought Galloway fitted in quite well out there, cant remember how it went exactly

I'd like someone to make a literal video interpretation of the thread title. That'd be funny, though maybe surreal.
    Happy chappy

    shameless bump....
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

What an obnoxious T**** BTW what do MEP's actually do:D He sounded like the Maily Dail mouthpiece.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher
