A good interview with Daniel Hannan on Fox News he seems to have a fan in the states

Why are the conservatives putting up with David Cameron when they could have Daniel Hannan?

That's a bit hard on Cameron, his biggest exposure is on PMQs which is a far different stage to the one Hannan has in this video. Plus, Hannan can say everything he has said from his relatively sheltered position as an MEP, whereas Cameron has to be a lot more careful to produce effective soundbites in opposition and at PMQs, and also topical given the current week's news.

I think it's because Hannan is less photogenic and is bald.

I know that sounds silly and trite, but thanks to the whole Blair 'success', image is everything and content is nothing.

IMHO there will never be a bald leader of a political party again.

Personally, I think it's a terrible shame that the world is so obsessed by appearance and image but I guess we've only got ourselves to blame...

I'm no friend of Camron but clearly anything as blistering would be sure to be overlooked by the BBC which, clearly, finds anything so damaging to the 'dear leader' quite unmentionable - despite the fact that it has received well over half a million hits on YouTube and set the interweb ablaze.

Rightly or wrongly, Cameron seems to feel he must play the BBC's game.

I want to disagree with you but in recent-ish times the Tories failed with William Hague, Iain Duncan-Smith and Michael Howard and Labour failed with Neil Kinnock and John Smith (RIP) - so there is indeed 'evidence' to back you up!

Surely you're not questioning the BBC's 'impartiality'??? :D

I think they are always going to have a natural bias towards the current government, a) being the national broadcaster and b) because the government can exert all kinds of influence over them in rather painful ways.

They were anything but impartial during the last two Conservative governments. The current Labour one, they criticise from the Left.

THIS HAS JUST BEEN ON DAILY POLITICS..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
