Ok. So my original complaint last time was that they did not contact me on receipt of the phones. Also payment was made in the form of a cheque as opposed to my account with no explanation. This time I received an email on receipt of my phones. The back on the phone was broken & I received an email saying they'd like to reduce payment of my phone. Their exact words were 'As this phone does not meet our terms and conditions we would like to make a
reduced offer in the sum of £26.00 representing the faulty phone price'. Now how many people think this means I will be receiving a payment of £26 for this phone? Because when I received payment & queried the amount I received I was told 'No,we offered you £10 for this phone.' I'm not happy with their service at the moment.I'll admit once I accepted the reduced amount it went into my account within 24 hours. Yet I have apparently just lost £26 because the back won't stay attached, forget the fact that the phone is in perfect working order & I could get a replacement cover for less than £10. I am currently querying this & I'm not sure I'll be using them again, especially if every time I do I end up writing something on here about the fact I'm not 100% happy with their service. It's a pity that I sent some more phones to them the day after they received the last lot.

Okay. So....I have had 3 dealings with Mobile Phone Buyer now. They rectified the mistake they made with the price they quoted me previously. It was indeed £26.00 I was meant to receive & they actioned this very promptly. In fact once I received their apology via email the money was once again in my account within 24 hours. (I do online banking with A&L).
They do send an email on receipt of the phones. Perhaps my 1st dealing with them it was a mistake made. The money goes into my account within 24-48 hours of another email saying payment sent. They are actually quite prompt when it comes to customer complaints as they respond within 24 hours to those. I think overall the experience can be good, just first impressions are normally the longer lasting ones.
Whether I'll use them again or not.....I'm not sure, I guess it will depend on who evers offering the best price for my phone & whether I feel comfortable using them.Debt £16,000

I used fonebank & they were great. They dont pay the postage though so you have to take that into consideration. I got an email when they received the phones & the cheque arrived a couple of days later. I would def use them again.0

My experience with Mobile Phone Buyer is not so positive!
We sent the phone to the freepost address but the post office told us it was invalid and we ended up paying £5.50 or thereabouts for postage to their normal address.
We did recieve contact to say it was recieved and they were paying the full amount etc and on the 27th August they said payment had been made and would take 2-3 working days. Up to today still no payment. I queried it last Thursday and although the response was prompt they just gave me some standardised blurb saying it could appear as "bank credit" and takes 2-3 working days.
Ive emailed back and spelled out that there are no credits on my account to get confused with and ive checked the bank details are correct, and they definately are.
Im awaiting this money to pay a credit card and im anxious they send me the money as time is ticking!0 -
I originally registered to sell my phone to Mobile Phone Buyer on 01/09/2009 and I sent my phone by recorded delivery on 02/09/2009. About 10 days later I had not heard anything, and after 2 e-mails to them asking for an update I got an e-mail on 15/09/2009 saying that they had received my mobile and payment would be within 7 days as long as the phone works when tested. Here I am another 10 days later with no payment and no communication as to what is going on. I have sent them an e-mail to ask what is happening so hope to hear from them soon. It certainly is not the easy and quick service promised on the Mobile Phone Buyer website and I would not recommend them to anyone. I originally chose them as they offered the best price for my mobile but I would now rather have a lower price from a different mobile recycler who actually does pay promptly!0

I've sold a few phones to Mazuma Mobile, not had a problem with them at all.
Send the phone on a Monday, cheque has always arrived on the Thursday following.====0 -
Ive just used them - they offered on the website almost double as to what others were offiering for both my phones...
I sent one away - they provided a jiffy bag - i didnt tryst this aloan so doubled up on the packaging. Only sent one - just in case!
They let me know it had arrived and a few days later let me know that they had accepted it and would send the money via BAC'S into my account.
Overall impression - seems good, however a touch slow - but oh well - worth the wait if they are willing to pay more than most others. Going to be sending my other phone to them tomorrow - again - they are quoting almost double than anywhere else!0 -
Ok, now I have got payment!
sent my 2nd phone off - this time took a lot longer than the first - about a month. I again sent via their freepost package with a bit extra to protect the phone...
Sent them an email asking why the delay - they claimed not to have received it (just a little over 2 weeks after I had sent it). Next day I get an email to say they had received it (or found it...?).
Another 2 weeks later - no payment... sent another email. Next day - payment was sent...
Not sure if they are just that busy, or if they are not organised - who knows
They paid full price for both my XDA orbit and XDA Oribt 2 - both were "well used" but cared for - had a few scuffs - nothing major
So... i do recommend them - but if the phone is of value - as always - post it via recorded means... as they pay more than the going rate - if the phone is in good nick - they will pay full... if it isnt and there are a large number of scratchs/marks/screen damage then expect to get a lower offer.0 -
I sent an iPhone 3G - 8gb to mobilephonebuyer on the 4th Dec 09 . They confirmed receipt and tested on the 8th Dec 09. I have heard nothing from them since. No payment received (£170). On sending email, i receive an automated reply but nothing since. I really would be wary of this company.0

I sent a phone end of November, chased them just before Xmas and today they told me they haven't received it yet!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0
