  • they are a con if you go out of season, maybe not at other times in May/June, by the time you pay all the fees the cost was £60 dearer with the sun than booking direct. they are very clever as they say you can not cancel, is this because they know it is a con!!? i thought you have a 7 day cooling off period for anything you signed? maybe not the case but i thought the sun was supposed to be good for the hardworking people of Britain caught up in the bad times.....obviously cashing in on it! beware to check prices direct with the park before booking.

lol they are not a con ! all the info is there to see / compare to booking direct....

I ALWAYS encourage people to check to see how much it would be to book direct ,esp during term time as often its the same / cheaper

BUT during school holidays you will always make a good saving :)

love that people think that its a con though, just because they dont do their homework beforehand and then blame the Sun ....
  • Hi i know this is abit cheeky but does any one have the codes for the holiday please? would love to take my 19month old away ? thank you Laura ... tiggmyster18@tiscali.co.uk

Is there any way to see WHICH dates are available when booking online?

Weve only just raised the cash to pay for a short break but as its a few days after everyone got the codes all we are doing is entering code after code, date after date and its saying is no no no.. what a pain in the rear!

surely they should have a better service so you can see what dates are available instead of "searching" over and over repeatedly getting no... grr...

it is a pain having to put more than 1 date / park choice in. but there's no way round it :(

unfortunately the demand is very high for these holidays ,and even those who tried to book last wed evening ( when the site opened !) couldn't find anything for the dates they could do

We booked in with Twitchen House in Woolacombe, listed everywhere as pet-friendly. We ended up just changing our booking to a direct one, an extra £80, as we didnt realise you couldnt take your dog to the place if booked with the vouchers. I did read reviews etc before booking, but I went to the wrong page (I should have gone to FAQs rather than the terms page about dogs) where they said you couldnt take your dog. First phonecall they effectively said tough luck, at least the 2nd phonecall gave me a lady who was more helpful and said you could just transfer to the direct deal, and seeing as £80 saves us hassle and costs of finding alternative arrangements for the dog, we didnt mind.

Seems an awful lot of fuss these vouchers though- not used before and I'm tempted not to again, as usually you can find good deals if you know what park you want to go to anyway by web searches or even ringing and asking for their deals!

We're booked for the second week in July for 4 nights to Croyde Bay with Parkdean. Have contacted them to find out how much it would cost to extend for an extra 2 nights and been told it will be £436!! I'm wondering whether it will get any cheaper or if there will even be any availability if we try again maybe a week before we are due to travel.

Has anyone else extended for a reasonable price and if so when did you call and what did they charge?

If it's still really expensive, we're going to see about a local B&B for the other nights. I've done some research and would definitely be cheaper than the price Parkdean has quoted. I'm just worried that if I leave it too close to the holiday dates, we may find anything decent booked up.

    Aaargh, decisions, decisions!
