I'm really poor all of a sudden! :(

Just checked my account and I have £30 to last 3 weeks...

Cuz they have taken out the £30 petrol. £35 hard drive, and the £20 I pulled out the cash machine. And I was planning on getting the Sanctuary stuff tomorrow. Hmm.

I have my non-student overdraft which is £100 but if I use it, it effectively means that I get paid less next payday cuz it goes straight off the overdraft.

This will be a challenge! :o

I went to Boots tonight.... uh oh...

I spent way too much, but I did get tons of people sorted for presents.

    I bought:

    * 2 of the half price Sanctuary sets for my Mum's birthday, and OH's Mum's birthday
    * A soap and glory set for my sister for Christmas (to be given by Mum)
    * A hair set for my sister
    * A small sanctuary set for my stepmum
    * A lush fabric jewellery box that I will keep if my Mum thinks my Nan won't like it!
    * No7 mattifying cream (using the £5 off voucher)
    * Natural Collection blusher and eyeshadow.

    Total cost: £62.70!

However, I will be getting lots of that back off my Mum and OH.

I then went into Marks and Spencer's to get something for tea and saw their 3 meats for £10 offer so I got a chicken, casserole steak and a pack of 4 chicken breasts in lime, coriander and ginger. Yet more money, but it was a good deal and means I won't have to buy meat for a while.

No spending for the next 3 weeks! :o

    ETA: Calculations

    Mum owes me: £20
    OH owes me: £12
    Sister owes me: £7

Which means I actually spent £23 which isn't so bad! :D

My Nan and Grandad are really struggling with money at the moment. My Grandad can't get any work cuz they turn him down even tho he could do it with his eyes shut. They are really struggling to pay their mortgage, and my Auntie and Uncle are helping out as best they can.

I've decided to give them my £500 bursary that I will (more than likely) be getting in December. They would do the same if it was me that was struggling. Means I will be in debt by my 21st but they need it more than I do at the moment.

    So new plan:

When I get the next installment of my loans in Jan:

    Pay the rest of rent.
Pay the last £100 off Dad's debt.
    Pay off OH.

Which in theory should leave £190 to pay towards my overdraft. There's a chance yet that I could pay off my debt before my 21st!

Cinny has inspired me to do my Christmas Present List :santa2:

    Bought

Mum: Body Shop toiletry bag, books, CD, body shop foot set, bath soa and chocolate (£30)
Sister: Body shop toiletry bag, books, chocolate, shower cream, boots hair set (£20)
    Brother: Book, toiletries, chocolate (£15)
OH's Mum: Body shop foot set, sanctuary set (£15)
    Grandparents: Cookbook (£6)
    Stepmum: Sanctuary set (£7)

    To Buy

    Dad: Magazine subscription (£10)
    Stepmum: Chocolate (£6)
Grandparents: Calender with own photos (£10)

I also need to buy my other grandparents something, plus my Auntie and Uncle's. But I don't have a clue what to get them. At least I have a while to think about it!

Spent already: £53 (Some presents were split between me and OH!)

I'm liking Cheryl Cole - Three Words today. It's gonna be her second single.

I went to M&S and got 2 packs of the chicken breasts in chilli, ginger, lime and coriander, and a pack of salmon. So I saved £5 and that's 5 meals there so that's good.

Then I went in Boots and didn't buy anything! Although I was very tempted by the Soap & Glory offer that's on - spend £12 and get a free body scrub worth £6. There were none of the Sanctuary boxes left so I'm glad I got them early. Just waiting for the next offer now and hoping it doesn't run out quickly.

I ws worrying last night that I wouldn't be able to pay off my overdraft by March. But I figured if I just do 5 overtime shifts between now and then, that's £100 knocked off. It's just fitting it in with uni and hoping the overtime is available.

I've decided I'm going to do some Journal Jars for my grandparents, and possibly my auntie. I read about it in a Christmas thread and really like the idea.

I really need to get on with some tidying up

Have to say it's really nice of you to give your Grandparents that money Zig :) Like you said, I'm sure they'd do the same if it was the other way round.

Sounds like you're doing well debt wise! Your birthday is the same as mine, isn't it? 26th March? I'm sure you'll be able to do it!

Well done on not buying anything in Boots! I hardly ever walk out of there empty handed. Any idea what the next offer will be?

Love the Journal jar idea. Are you going to use the jars you go yesterday for it?

Yep 26th March :D I'm looking forward to it!

From the Boots threads I've read, they think it's gonna be a No7 men's set which will be £20 from £40. I might tell my Mum to get it for OH. He said he won't use it but I'll make him! :p He works in a garage and the extent of his personal grooming is having a shower.

Yep gonna use the jars from ASDA, but I need to go and get a few more. I think it's a lovely idea being able to read people's memories and have a keepsake of memories from when they were young etc. Cuz when people go then you can't ask them these things. I'm just hoping that they'll actually do it! But even if they don't then they'll have a nice diary and a jar they can put whatever in. :o

I bought some boots from Next in August and I've work them three times and every time they've been so painful. Cuz I paid £80 for them I really wanted them to be comfy so I tried those gel pads but they didn't work. So today I thought I'm gonna try taking them back, even though it's been ages since I bought them...

And they gave me a refund, yay! :j So that's £80 back off my overdraft. :D

But I'm now on the lookout for some new boots. I saw these is house of fraser and loved them but they wouldn't do up on my calves. :( And I tried on these but they wouldn't fit on my calves properly either. I feel like such a fatso. :(

My OH has said that we'll go cycling twice a week, then swimming on the weekend and that my calves will get slimmer so I hope he's right. :o

Not much other money news at the moment really!

    I feel rubbish today.

My tummy really hurts, I have a headache, feel sick and and I'm tired. :(

I feel really overworked at the moment. The flat is a tip and my flatmate is on holiday. I need to tidy up before his parents come round to decorate the living room and make me feel bad that it's a mess.

I have the day off uni tomorrow so me and my Mum are going Christmas shopping before it gets too busy. Really can't be bothered but it needs to be done.

Pretty pleased with my Boots bargains at the mo. Managed to get 6 cans of rightguard deodorant for £2.45 yesterday. :T So that'll sort out my stinky brother for a while! :p And I got a No7 eyeshadow brush for £1 using my £5 off voucher. Plus my Soap & Glory bargains!

Sounds horrible Zig, Hope you're feeling better soon. Best to do the cleaning in short bursts if you're not feeling that jazzy, write a list and do one thing at a time? (With lots of tea inbetween!)

Way to go on all the Boots bargains!:j I'm looking forward to getting mine finished off next week. One less thing to worry about moneywise!
