Mixed Emotions Today.
Good Stuff
My loans were paid in yesterday/today so I have paid all the bits I need to and I'm just gonna wait and check there is nothing else needing to come out of it before I pay the last little bit of my loans off my overdraft (only about £50). :j
It's nice to see the Dad's money figure go down to £200!
Bad Stuff
It's not necessarily bad, I'm just feeling a bit down about the whole deposit thing. It's a bit stupid though because we have worked it out and if OH saves £100 a week then by the time I finish uni, combined with my potential savings, we'll have £15k which is great.
The problem is that OH earns £300 a week and I just don't know where that goes. He pays me £10 a week for food, and £20 rent. He has a credit card with about £300 on it I think. He's just really secretive about his money and although I know he is saving (he has £1700 so far) it bothers me that he isn't saving as much as he good. It's bothering me that I'm looking at every pound as potential house money and he just doesn't seem to care, or want to do it.
He's already said a few times that he's sick of me going on about savings and houses. He says I'm obsessive! *sigh*I can't do this on my own, but even though he says he wants a house I think in his heart of hearts he's quite content living at home, 5 mins from work, with everything done for him, paying £20 a week rent.
I think I'm just gonna have to keep my plans to myself for a while.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

It is a bit of a problem if your OH doesn't want it s much as you. You can't force him to save up unfortunately. The best thing to do is for you to save up as much as you can and then wait for him to realise how much he wants it. I know it is annoying but it is up to him to help you.0

Thanks Wendz
It's just so frustrating. He seems to think we have all the time in the world. I finish uni in a year and a half and that isn't very long really. It's like he thinks I'll finish uni and we can just go and get a house and there's no need for planning beforehand!
There's so much to think about. It's making my brain hurt!
He works in a place where it's just him and the boss. He doesn't have any of his payslips or P60s are so that will be fun trying to get all them. We need to think about where we're gonna live cuz we need to think about his job, but whether that situation will change cuz the boss is gonna retire soon. And where I can find a job. But everytime I bring this sort of stuff up he doesn't wanna talk about it. Argh!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

I spent way too much at the supermarket today.
My budget was £25 but I spent £42.
I managed to get 4 bottles of Cava, 2 bottles of sparkling rose, and a £7 bottle of rose all for the grand total of £1.60!So that's been put away for Christmas/special occasions. I was also very tempted to get the BOGOF tins of chocolate but OH persuaded me that we don't need to spend money on getting fat(ter).
Stuff I Shouldn't Have Bought:
Ham & Salami - £3.25
Yogurt - £1
Fish fingers - £2.50
Toad in the hole - £1
Mini trifle - £0.89
Cheese - £1.58
Crumpets - £0.45
DVD - £3
Baklava - £2.50
Total - £16.17
That's really annoying to know that if I hadn't have bought those things then I would've been just on my budget!
I got my hair cut today which was £26. It should've been £32.50 but I had student discount. I'm really pleased with it, plus, she said next time she can come to mine to do it so it'll be even cheaper!
Shouldn't need to spend any money over the next few days. I do need to go to the asian shop though to buy some green tea powder. I'm going to make green tea cupcakes from the Hummingbird Bakery book.I'll also need money for swimming at the weekend but that's about it.

I am always tempted on the tins of chocolate. Will try and hold off till nearer christmas though!
Well done on the discounted hair , even better that it will be cheaper next time!0 -
They are so tempting though aren't they! Thing is, it will only be me and OH at Christmas so we'll end up eating the lot!
I have just rang the local David Lloyd gym to see how much a 3 month membership would be and it's £87! I really was hoping it would be cheap because I really need to shift some weight but the weather is getting worse so I need something I can do indoors really. I love swimming but the nearest half decent pool is 30mins drive away which is ok on a Saturday but I can't do that a couple of times a week.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

How did you get all that booze for £1.60?!?!? Thats insanely good!
Next time you go to the supermarket don't take a card! Only take your budget, in cash, you'll have to stick to it then!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It was 3 bottles for £10, and I had staff discount (£2), some coupons from Tesco Wine Club (£5), a double up coupon (£10 - it ends on the 30th Sept!) and finally, the 5% off for buying 6 bottles!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

The main news today is that I am awaiting £150 from Quidco! :j I did that £100 O2 deal so that will be a handy lump to pay off my overdraft when it comes in!
Bad news is that I bought a couple of things and put them on my overdraft so I need to work out what the correct figure is for my signature.
I'm also overdrawn by nealy £70 on my current account which is really annoying because it means I can't pay anything to anyone when I next get paid.
That's all for now!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Zig do you mind me asking why you're saving for a house before finishing paying off the debt? Given you're so close to clearing it I'd focus on one thing at once. Its not like it will set you back at all in the long run.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
