Why on earth would anyone drive around town as a social activity?! I'm glad you said it because honestly I can't think of anyone un-chavvy who does this! I see the cruisers, windows down, horrible banging music irritating everyone around them, one of the few things that get me really angry! Go to the pub or have people over for dinner or something!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lol I completely agree Dinah! They are college friends, all guys, and I'm a couple of years older than them. I love them to bits but I'm definately more mature than them. They would say boring!
I've told them that I don't have the car tonight so at least I won't be wasting my petrol! Hopefully we'll be going bowling or something.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Whats the August fitness challenge about Zig?
It's just a little challenge I set myself. I'm rubbish at doing enough exercise so I am aiming to do 3 exercise sessions a week. I'm not doing very well so far!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Not much to report really on the money front.
I have had my student loan payment schedule letter through which says I will get £2108 at the end of September, January and April. My rent is £1560 out of each of those payments which leaves me £548 to save! :T Except the first lot of £548 will be paying off my overdraft then I will be out of debt (except student loans but I'm not counting those.) It will be so nice to be able to save money instead of paying it off something!
I will use my £200 monthly wages to live off which will be easy enough. So if al goes well, by the end of uni I will have £2740 saved up! This was going to go towards the house deposit but I have been pondering laser eye surgery cuz my prescription changes every year and it's doing my head in. I'm spending the money before I even have it!
I know it's only been 3 days since I properly started my diet but I'm doing well. I'm eating so much more fruit and veg than usual and I'm even suggesting to OH that we go for a run! But then as soon as we start running my knees hurt and I give up. So I don't think it's doing much good but the thought is there.

There is lots of work going on at the flat at the moment so everything is chaos.
I had to go to town yesterday to get some shoes to go with my dress for the wedding - only some black court heels, so I thought it would be easy but it was a nightmare.
The only ones I could find that were comfortable and that I liked were £110 Kurt Geiger ones but I really didn't want to spend that sort of money on them. I don't even have that much money at the mo! I was getting quite upset cuz my foot was hurting (feels really weak and sore at the mo) and I couldn't find any other shoes. My OH suggested Debenhams which I thought would be rubbish but I managed to find the perfect shoe - Kurt Geiger and £120 reduced to £39!So I was well chuffed.
I also went to the new massive Primark that has opened and got a cardigan. That was all I spent really! But I've gotta go back in today to pick up some bits we couldn't get yesterday so I might get some Christmas presents using the £5 off No7 voucher in Boots.
I lost 2lbs this week
ETA - OH's parents said we could go on holiday with them, to Corfu, for £280 each and I was well excited. But having checked the dates I have realised I will be teaching so I'm gutted. I still wanna book a holiday though. Haven't got a clue where to start though!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Right, this month my money has gone all wrong. I am £52 overdrawn and having looked at the transactions this is where it has gone.
Pizza £18 (Anniversary meal)
Shoes £15 (When I couldn't walk in my new boots)
Kurt Geiger shoes £39 (For the wedding)
Burger King £6.88
Primark £11.75 (Cardigan and t-shirt)
Barratts £5 (Insoles)
Tk-maxx £10.79 (Skirt)
Petrol £25
Tesco shopping (total) £76
I haven't done this bad with money for ages, and I still have 2 weeks til payday. It hasn't helped that because of the work being done at the flat the kitchen has been unusable so I ended up grabbing a lot from Tesco. Plus going into town when I don't usually has meant I've bought things I wouldn't have normally.
We booked the holiday last night, but I'm really thinking I shouldn't be booking holidays when I'm doing so rubbish with money. It's a week in Corfu in June for £276 each. Once I get paid I can get back on track, until then I just need to not spend any more!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Nothing interesting to add, I just need to get my head round everything!
Due to some DDs that I had forgotten were coming out I went over my allocated overdraft by £2. I transferred some money in as soon as I noticed so hopefully I won't get charged as that's the last thing I need.
I borrowed £100 off my OH and he has said I can give that back when I can so that's good. Takes the pressure off a bit.
My sister owes me £10 so I'll get that off her when she gets back from my Nan's in a few weeks.
Mum has paid two £20 payments to Tesco, and one £20 payment to Halifax. But she has already given me the money for the next Halifax payment. I need to update my book I am keeping to keep track of what she owes.
Last month I seemed so in control and organised and now I just feel argh!
So, I owe:
OH - £105
OH (holiday deposit) - £100
Dad - £100
It's OH's birthday next week and I hate it that I can't afford to spoil him as much as I'd like.I bought him a watch a couple of months ago as an early birthday present so it's not so bad. But I still feel rubbish.
The next payday is the last one before uni so I need to make sure I have everything I need before I spend on stuff I shouldn't. I really need to get myself organised. I don't think I'm gonna be saving as much as I hoped this year.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
