Is 3.99% 5 year fix the lowest it will go ??

the bit about A&L being purchase only is not true as I have just spoken to them for a re-mortgage and they have given me an agreement in principal at 3.95%

I had a appointment was in A&L today at 12.30, we were signing up for the 5 year fixed at 3.99% no fees when the product disappeared from the screen.

So i was about 15 mins too late.

Anyone know if any other 5 year fixed rate of 3.99% around, little or no fees LTV is only 40%.

at the moment, they're all in the same ball park...3.95/3.99% and £995/£999 fee.

HSBC wanted the fee up front though and it couldn't be added to the mortgage but A&L can be added if required

ouch! glad I got my offer through on tuesday then!

It seems like they decided to mop up some of the low LTV people who were sitting on the fence about a new deal... tempted them off trackers and SVR's. Now they have signed up a bunch of new, good quality business, they're off over the hills and far away!!

Just called them (A&L) and 3.99% no longer available to anyone remorg or new biz.
Ah well indeed....

but reading todays news , the ecomony is in a far worst state than previously thought !!

So lets hope for some better deals later
