  • spoken to A&L this morning and they have my paperwork, which is "satisfactory" and confirmed that the 3.95% rate is booked and I'll be getting confirmation through the post in the next few weeks.

They had me worried as I received a " you'll be reverting to the SVR as of 1st may" letter this morning but its just a crossover

Had my 3.99% mortgage offer through the post yesterday, had a double take as they mentioned that my solicitor would be getting £55 less in the mortgage advance to cover the telegraphic transfer fees and the £25 insurance admin fee! Just have to get through to my solicitor now to see if they have the offer and contracts could really do with exchanging before the 16th but can't see that happening what with easter being in the way!

I really dont think it will go lower than 3.99% , it might ( a big might) at most go to 3.7% but still with fees at £1000+ i feel !!

    A+L is 3.99% 5 year fixed , £0 fees

    however :

£30 bank transfer fee and a £25 admin if you decline their insurance !!

£300 " approx" valuation fee upfront , returned if application successful!!!

rate not guaranteed until you paid your valuation fee !!

As long as your at least 65% ltv your in !!!

I have their KFI,s infront of me now !!!:D
has this deal no longer avaible

ou still havent had that, i remember you saying before you were waiting for an amended one to come through. Cant they email it to you, just so you have something in writing, does seem a bit odd you haven't had the KFi through yet. I've had my offer and checked with the solicitors and they have now recvd it from A+L aswell. Just waiting to here when we can exchange:D

You're not alone. They told us that, even though we'd applied for the 3.99% 5 year fix, they'd have to send us the incorrect KFI for the 2 year deal because of their "computer problem", which they duly did ... Then they sent back to us our payslips and bank statements. I chased them last Wednesday and they said there was no problem with the valuation (although they wouldn't tell me what the property had been valued at - I know I don't need to know, but I'd have been interested !) and that a mortgage offer for the 3.99% 5 year fix would be sent out and we'd receive it after Easter.

Rather hoping it arrives soon !
  • everything completed for me now and more than happy.just remember for those of you setting this deal up yourselves that its your responsability to get standing orders from your own bank ie tsb to put the minimuim £500 into your A/L premier account and that if you were already with A/L to ensure they take the mortgage payments from the priemier account and not your previous bank as was the norm [as i thought they would, considering they set it up and knew what was happening, just as well i checked!]cheers

Looks like I've been more fortunate than you. I've had the correct KFI doc's sent to me with "Revised Offer" in large letters at the top. I'm chuffed as the fixed rate ends 30th June 2014 whereas I thought it would end April 2014. :D I've had payslips returned, phonecall re insurance required (none!), £320 survey charged to my credit card (it's a Tesco one so more clubcard points earned!) & a letter to instruct their solicitors to work on our behalf. The required Premier direct account has been opened, the account number & details of the account were received last week and today I received the pin to allow me to use Internet banking. To be fair it's almost a daily barrage of letters, my postie muut be getting sick of me by now!

I've been very impressed how quickly they've worked, they are even assuming the Mortgage being set up for 1st May...which I feel is a bit optimistic but fingers crossed. Hope you hear soon, otherwise I'd be giving them a wee chase up phonecall.

sounds like you and I are in the same boat ,

Ive had wage slips back , valuation passed , solicitor letter with a questionare to fill out sent to me, but no updated KFI,s , :o

When i called they assured me its the 5 year deal 3.99% no fees im on , and said i sould get it anyday now ,

Im sure they are true to their word and they are not trying it on as such , and are also coping with high demands on this product still , , its just not having anything in writing is hard to swallow

    Lets see what happens :D
