Right I am back, I take it you did all miss me!!:rotfl:

Father had a lovely party etc, I got a clap for my speech!:rotfl: my brother's kids were great, my sister snubbed me :rolleyes: , step mother got in a right strop as she got all stressed out, and there was no need as my SIL and I offered to take over the running of the event on the day so she could spend time with my father, but no, instead she shouted at my 16yo nephew, for no good reason, because he moved a chair!:mad:

Any how all over and done with.

Now what have I missed, it seems I have loads to catch up on..

Rosep - I agree with Fly-Flo - step away from that thread. It seems to me that there are people on there that like to - um - challenge. When challenging is probably not what they should be doing. I'm not quite sure where the 'support' bit includes challenging.

Witchypoo - fingers crossed and positive vibes for Hubby's investigations this week.

Oh and Frodders and anyone else even contemplating chickening out of next Sat's meet. DON'T. You have nothing to fear. We are all nice people, we will have a good time. It's not like any of us are expecting at least a snog at the end of the day (heaven forfend :eek:).

We will be like minded people meeting for a pleasant lunch and possibly a walk and that's it. It WILL be fun.

And anyway, BB and I would feel awful if we were stood up by EVERYONE. Just imagine. BB and I could stand there for ages (perhaps up to an hour just in case) under the hanging sign of the inn. We would be the subject of conversation of the regulars:

"Do you think she's on the game?"
"Nah - unless she's only charging tuppence"

"Do you think she's been stood up?"
"Probably with a face like that..."

"Do you think she's doing undercover work?"
"If she is, she's not very undercover..."

Well, having now googled to find out more, I am slightly disturbed to find that Valli is having me played by a deceased actress! And all her films were made before I was born. Not the stuff either of my parents would have watched either, so that's probably why I'd not heard of her. And not really my sort of thing either, I'm afraid.

Don't worry, I'll be there - though I may start a rumour with the regulars before I make myself known One of the reasons for me organising stuff is to stop me backing out IYSWIM. If people are expecting me, I'll be there; otherwise I just hide indoors on my own!

There's got to be a couple of people who could make it to 5 with a little help and encouragement! There are quite a few on 4 stars at the moment!

Feeling a bit down this evening, it has been an arduous week. Poor hubby has a cold (no jokes please he is never ill and if he is just carries on like a trooper unless he is in physical pain when he faints a lot).

Not looking forward to this week much either. Another morning at Nan's sorting tomorrow but at least I'll have the company of my friend.

Right I need to put 2 more things on ebay and then ironing is the order of the evening.

Kazw glad it was a lovely time - people always get stressed at these things- shame really! and YES we did miss you! Valli was very quiet without you to egg her on!!!
yes I know greenbee - but I am not going to nag at this time on a sunday - I was going to say something on the new thread. I think there has been a lot going on fro people but once again people are leaving things until the weekend to catch up and therfore losing out on me-time.
