What's the alternative, I spend my evenings in front of the tv watching reruns of topgear on Dave in the dark with one hand strategically placed in my shorts just checking everything is still there in between having a good route around my nose. whilst the advets are on I ponder to myself why I am not yet married and provideing my mum with the grandchild she so rightly deserves and fulfilling my fathers hopes of carrying on the family name. Life is bleak but sexcetera is about to start on vigin1 so every cloud and that .....0 -

I tried Match.com - didn't work for me... however....
Once I started looking at it as a way to meet people instead of finding dates I started actually enjoying the online dating and within not very long I met a very nice chap and uhmmmm our first child is due a week after our first wedding anniversary and I like to think we're pretty happy
Now the reason I started looking to online dating was that as a professional working it's really hard to fidn time to go out and meet people and I am not the kinda person to allow guys to chat me up in busy bars and clubs - just not meAll my mates were in relationships (thinking about it... most of them are also gay so slightly unlikely to find me many straight guys to date LOL) and I honestly just got to the point where I wanted to get out and speak to other people without worrying too much so I changed my profile to looking for friendship and fun (tut!) but it meant everyone knew where they stood... and this nutty scottish guy popped up on my screen one day, I figured he looked unlikely to be a serial killer but DID sound funny so dropped him a line... haven't looked back since and that's 4 years ago
so don't knock online/speed datingyou just have to look at it as something fun and a way to meet new people instead of a way to find the love of your life... it's honestly a great laugh

When a man is scared of the unknown he automatically goes to a default setting- take the pi£s. I would love to have the confidence to do the match/speed dating thing, how could I hold a conversation in five minutes knowing that I am missing argumental on Dave ?
One day I'll be so lonely/desperate I will have to give it a go- I just cant face the humiliation of it yet. I have maximum respect to those true hardcore 100% saddo's who by pass all the dating rubbish and just jump on a plane to Thailand and buy a bride.0 -
