okay- i need to clear something up. I am not having a bowl of crisps with custard poured over it. It was a pack of crisps whilst the custard is in the microwave, I was eating whilst getting food ready for eating- a bit like when you catch the train into town with a bottle of Bacardi Breezer (this one is for all you ladies reading ) because you are drinking on the way to going drinking a uniquely British thing to do but I dare anyone to post back that they have never done it .

Just read this thread and it has made me chuckle lol

I am another saddo singleton and have been since November. It is lonely especially when you have kids as you spend a lot of time on your own in the evenings but there are also loads of benefits too lol. My house has never been so tidy.

The online dating thing scares the life out of me to be honest and like Jim said the fear of rejection makes me think I am better off single lol.

Complete agree with you Doodledo. My house is much tidier. Is that because I am keeping myself busy or because DH isn't around making the mess?:rotfl:

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Joining this one a bit late I guess but I just wanted to say, kids or no kids, being single isn't automatically the end of your life - it's just an exciting change, like turning eighteen or moving to a different city.

Personally been single since August - ready for a relationship now but not rushing it becuase I quite like being single! Like someone said - I don't have to share chocolate (or worse, fear it being stolen!!) and I can sing around the house and stuff without anyone moaning at me!

Anything that comes your way should be treated as a challenge, not a worry!

    :)
    End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt :(
    Today's total: £7,297.06 :o
