Finding information on car repairs on driveway and oil in drains

A neighbour of ours has basically stripped his car to just the shell of the car - no engine, wheels, exhaust etc and is up on 'mini stilts'. First of all is this type of work allowed on a driveway? And secondly oil from the work is on the blocked paved road and gone into the drain.

Should I be worried?

Yes, he's obviously trouble. Quickly find a mob and drive him out of town

Fine - so it doesn't matter that there are all stains all over the road and in the grid (ie water system)?

Doing it on your own drive? Mind my own business? Hardly when the oil is on the public highway.

Thanks Browntoa - will leave the other egos to themselves.

To be fair, you asked two questions. Browntoa answered only one of them, the others had opinions on the first question.

No doubt it is an eyesore, but it is his driveway, he can do as he wishes on it.

drive him away , i hope the new people that move in are real trouble for you instead of a lad with a hobby minding his own buisness

is it gallons of oil flodding along the street or you finding any excuse to moan ? half the cars on the road leave a patch when parked up(just look in a car park ) do you moan at them given every opertunity

lets face it , you think its a eyesore becuase the car has a car on stands on his own drive , you want to jump on the enviromental issue fully aware once you mention oil in the drain he will get no end of trouble

get a life , and think how you'd like people causing trouble for you or your family

be carefull what you wish for ..it might come true

Wasn't sure whether I was communicating with Mystic Meg or Billy no Brain?

I wil leave you to your totally incorrect assumptions - and boy you have one narrowminded chip on your shoulder.

Thanks, despite others jumping to their uniformed conclusions - the issue I had was 2 fold, firstly the oil on the road going into the drain/grid and secondly whether this intensity of work is allowed on a normal driveway because of safety issues.......but I'm obviously lying and have ulterior motives........even though they know nothing of the situation or anything about me........but why let any logic, common sense and a fair hearing prevail? That, of course, would be too easy.

I'm not wasting anymore of my time with reactionary, ill informed posters. :D
