Under 'top Tart cards' (and I am a rate tart) Martin shows the NSPCC Card as being amongst those 'with no fee during the introductory offer'. So I apply for the same online - rather pleased with a near £8k credit limit approved - just the job for a BT to continue stoozing of my offset mortgage!
The paperwork duly arrives, and blow me down, it states a 2% BT fee. HBOS Call Centre person duly confirms this applies during introductory 0% offer. Back to the drawing board..........0 -
Have you got an Amazon card ? This one is BT fee-free and 0% for BT's and purchases for 6 months, pretty good on credit limits too.0

Just to confirm the BT fee point (on the Macmillan card at least), I did my BT today fee-free, but only after having to ask the operator to go and ask a supervisor, as he was convinced there should be a fee. I have since confirmed both with another operator (whilst setting up my DD) and my online banking that no fee has been applied.
However, I was only allowed to BT 90% of my CL, which I can't find in the T&C's. This was confirmed by operator #2. Any similar experiences?0 -
ginger, I've got the Guide Dogs card, from the same stable, just waiting for it to arrive to do BT. I do recall in the initial literature on the net at the time of applying that max BT is 90%, but with no fee and 9 months at 0% with a nice CL, I'm not complaining. However, need to check, it may be possible to do 90% BT of CL then another 90% of the remaining 10%, so effectively 99% BT, as sais though check that first0

Thanks HGLT. I will ring up and try the extra BT, but he did use the phrase "90% of your credit limit" rather than "90% of your available balance" so may not be possible. Mind you, given he didn't know about the correct fee situation that might just have been his ineptitude!0 -
Just to confirm, it is 90% of "available credit", and also got confirmed that no BT fee as promotional period, but the date of opening account is officially just under a month before card arrived and able to do BT, so moaned about this and got the 9 months to start from day of transfer. RESULT!0
