Can you use the Manuka honey sold in sainsburys externally or does it have to be sterilised? I am really suffering with angular cheilitis at the moment and nothing seems to be working.0

It is already "sterile", use it straight from the jar use a plastic spatula or something similar to take out. your finger is sufficient to rub onto the corners of your mouth.
By the way two jars of +10 UMF from costco was £10 instead of £10 each from Tesco for the same jar!!0 -
I'm a musician and know several singers who use manuka honey in warm water for sore throats and other vocal problems and they all swear by it. I mgiht get some to see if my singing improves!
Seriously though I'll be passing this thread on to them - thanks.0 -
I usually have a cup of warm lemon and a spoonful of manuka honey every morning, Dont know if thats enough though. I have various stomach problems also i cant tolerate certain foods anymore. I tend to buy mine from Boots ( well i had up to now anyway ) but when i read about Sainsbury s selling it , no Costco around here, i went today and bought one . They are now £6 49 as the earlier threads saying £5 odd were over a year ago:). In Boots they are 3 for 2 and the recent price now is £16.49  for one but at the 3 for 2 work out somewhat cheaper at £11 each, still a lot dearer than Sainsbury s for the same strength. I checked the one i was currently using and it was a plus 5 and not the plus 10 i d ordered and paid for. I took it back to Boots and was given a replacement of a plus 10 strength one. Im glad i read this thread.0

Ps In fairness the Boots jars are bigger at 500 grams ( others are 340 grams ) i think but still dearer in comparison.0 -
