  • If you avoid the Haven and Parkdean sites and go for the smaller sites, theres still some available. I will just gatecrash another site in the area to use their amusements!

mine go back on the 8th. look on your LEA website, it will give you a general idea although schools will have their own inset days.

Couldnt get any of my favoured sites for 24/8 but did get Woolacombe Sands & have now seen that it gets good reviews, so I'm quite pleased after much cursing earlier.
My son has just begged me to stop booking holidays as we have IOW in Oct half term & Brittany on 4th Sept , & just got back from Disneyland Paris - all from The Sun! Dont know what I'll do about him missing school in Sept - plenty of time to come up with something. Originally they said you could have 10 days a year off but now new govt guidelines say you have to have 95% attendance record & as son no 2 is always ill (under great ormond st & even a visit to them counts against him) he has about 85% attendance:( Oh well, surely when you're sickly, you need the sunshine even more!
Thanks to everyone on these boards for all the help & advice. Perhaps when we all come back we could post some reviews up to help with the next offer that comes along.
