    here you go guys
Dine out at your nearest Prezzo restaurant and sample great tasting, authentic Italian food for less. Don't miss your two-for-one vouchers inside the Telegraph, starting this Saturday. Buon Appetito!

It won't let me post a link but if you go to the telegraph.co.uk webpage and look under 'promotions' or search prezzo in the search bar at the top you will be able to download the voucher and print off yourself.

    Hope this helps anyone.

I had my first poor meal in Prezzo this weekend, ordered Calazone and it was just thick doughy texture and bland - very dissapointed. I actually know some people who had calazone last time we went there and this time it looked nothing like it. Was burnt/over cooked in places and would never order it again.. :(

I have always enjoyed every main dish I've ever had here...

Doc N, I was picking the cheese they had cleverly put over the burnt bits and they asked if everything was ok and I said it was overcooked. They said they could replace it with another one but it would take 15 minutes and we were in a hurry so I didn't change it. But they did offer to be fair and I will go back - just wouldn't order the Calazone again..

We've been there a fair few times and every meal has been really good..

We collected enough of the telegraph's 2for1 vouchers to enable 10 of us to go for a meal. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere and was decorated beautifully. The drinks are very expensive - £6 for a large bottle of beer, £2.10 for soft drinks. Everyone enjoyed their meal but the sting in the tail was the £21 service charge they added to the bill for a group booking! We had intended on leaving a tip anyhow but when you're forced to pay this, and for service that wasn't exactly special, we weren't impressed! Won't be returning as a group again!

Do you really think it so unreasonable to leave a tip of £2.10 each for the staff, given that they get such low pay and really need the tips to make any kind of living?

I was quite heartened to read this on the Prezzo menu:

Service charge not included except for tables of seven or more when an optional 10% will be added to your bill.

All Prezzo employees receive at least the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and ALL tips are paid in addition to NMW. Credit card tips are subject to a 10% deduction to cover credit card fees, payroll and other house costs prior to distribution in full to employees in the restaurant. All cash tips are retained in full by the waiting staff and these may or may not be shared with other employees in the restaurant. The company does not participate in cash tips in any way.
  • The Goats Cheese Salad was lovely, the balsamic glaze was very tasty.

I have a minor gripe though. I used Tesco Vouchers and had to fill in a form. I had no problem whatsoever with doing this but the email address I used is being spammed with stuff. This is an address I specifically use for restaurants and I have always ticked the box to opt out of marketing information before hence my suspicion at Prezzo because the fill in form didn't have that.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Don't all restaurants make those kind of charges for drinks?

As for the service charge, it is optional. You can deduct it.
