Prezzo Vouchers Discussion

I went to the one in Bournemouth and although the staff were friendly and efficient, I thought the food was staggering in its lack of sophiscation.
The bruschetta consisted of some bread with a couple of cherry tomatoes on top - no more, no less. And the pollo siciliano was a grilled chicken breast (no apparent marinade, seasoning or adornment of any kind) wrapped in some cheap ham (not Parma) and with a slab of grilled cheese stuffed in that resembled nothing so much as a scab picked off someone's knee.
I didn't mind too much as I was on my own and there overnight for work. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, the house red (a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo) was good and as I've said, the staff were nice. I'm just amazed that somewhere where the food is so crude could prosper. Pizza Express is bland as hell but this is something else.0 -

We have been to the Bournemouth Prezzo many times thanks to this BOGOF offer and I have to disagree with everything this newbie - troll? says!!
We avoid the starters and because that doubles the price. However we have had the Garlic Pizza bread with onions and cheese which is enough for 2. We have also had the Garlic Tiger prawns - again enough for 2 to share.
We have tried the salmon pasta, the prawn pasta, and the chicken raviolli which is especially tasty!!
My partner has had the risotto and I have had a pizza and half chciken.
I can recommend all these dishes - especially when you are only paying £10 for 2 meals out - what is there to complain about??!!
The bournemouth branch is ALWAYS busy - so it says something. The food we have had has been tasty, large portions and service was quick.
The only thing we would never have again is the house white - tasted and smelt like paint stripper!!
Tonight we are going to go there for a 2 for 1, drink soda water and lime as we are off the booze and then go and watch Bruno on a 2 for 1. Our aim is to go out for a meal and then the cinema for under £20!!
Can't complain about that! Ignore the miserably lone diner above - just like his colleagues probably did!! :T0 -
I really like Prezzo, have tried the prawn starter and the garlic bread with cheese, was soo tasty... Didn't like the garlic pizza bread with onions and cheese as it was sweet for our taste so would never get it again...
Have tried the pastas - yummy!!
8 of us went there once and every main was different, ranging from chicken salad, to pasta to raviolli - everyone liked their dish...
Definately miles ahead of pizza express on taste and service i think..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi,
i really like Prezzo - but I have to agree, the food is very unsophisticated.
Last time I had a chicken breast in a cheese sauce and it was a bit like something I made in school! The plate was swimming in a basic cheese sauce that overpowered everything.
However, it tasted really nice
I always think of Prezzo as Italian comfort food, rather than fine dining.
Cheers,

And if you've ever eaten there at lunchtime and seen the food arriving in cardboard boxes off a van McDonalds-style that should confirm it for you!0 -
Hi there, the offer prezzo presently has - I have not received voucher in e-mail after filling out form!
Has anyone else had this problem?Thank you to all posters:beer:0 -

Went to Prezzo in Aylesbury yesterday lunchtime for my mum's birthday. Lovely atmosphere and they were very quick with the food. As we're both a bit fussy we wanted to change toppings on the set pizzas slightly and they were more than happy to accommodate this with no extra charge. The food itself was delicious and we had no problems using the voucher. I'll definitely be visiting again!0

Not impressed with this one.
Went in for a table for two on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, and we were told they were fully booked. Which may have been true, but I saw no reserved tickets on the tables, and we were only two!
Ate in another Prezzo restaurant earlier in the year, and the service was appauling. so vowed never to go back to it. Very slow service.
In my experiences I don't rate this restaurant voucher or no voucher. In my town there are another three Italians with similar voucher offers so I will be using these instead.0
