JasonLVC, perhaps you could add the above conditions to your original post to save having to keep repeating them

Good idea, have updated my first post now with the T&C's. Thanks. :beer:Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
One thing to remember, make sure you delete any photos that are still on the phone, you may not want to be sharing those with anyone and everyone!!!0

What's peoples opinion on cash, argos or points?
You get 15% more for argos but I'm not likely to use them much and could you say stuff is more expensive in argos anyway?
Also if I convert it to points? Will there value go up and down? I don't want an ipoints fiasco0 -
You could get more money by selling your phone on ebay!!!
For example (Samsung D500)
Mopay give you £45
Ebay you would get between £85 - £100 + postage
For example (Sony Ericsson T630)
Mopay give you (£15)
Ebay you would get betwen £40 - £55 + postage
You could even donate a percentage to charity via ebay ( more than the 10% by Mopay)
Also you get your money before you send the phone to the buyer not after Mopay have confirmed the phone is ok after they receive it.
Just a thought!0 -
i have phones that I have attempted to sell on ebay (e.g Samsung D500), and despite clearly stating that I WILL NOT send it abroad, someone hit the 'BUY IT NOW' and asked for it to be shipped to Nigeria!
This is the second time that this has happened!
So, yes, on many ocassions you will get more on e-bay, but is it worth the hassle??
I am sure that many people here will agree that it is def not worth it.
Also, it appears that these sites are good for older less technical phones, which are unlikely to sell for much on ebay - thus giving you an option to get some cash, and assist the environment. One day I want to be the pigeon...... and not the statue!0 -
It's difficult to generalise as to which option is "best" for everyone, although Meeten looks to have summed it up quite nicely:
- Envirofone appear to score best with older, lower spec phones (such as my Moto C350) so long as you're happy to wait for your money.
- On the other hand, you will probably get more for newer, higher spec models by selling them on eBay but you do expose yourself to scammers who frequently target mobile phone sellers.

There are numerous ways you can protect your auctions on ebay from scammers. By using ebay you are still being environmentally friendly as you are reusing phones instead of people buying new ones. However i do agree that the very old phones are better traded in with Mopay as you are unlikely to get much after the fees have been deducted from ebay.

Has anyone had any success with getting cash from this site for their old phones?
Thanks0
