Hi everyone,
I upgraded with Vodafone (direct call to customer services) on Monday 16th Oct 06. I got a Sony Ericsson k800for free. I was going to recycle my old Sony Ericsson K750i with Envirofone (offered me £44.05 Argos vouchers and £38.30in cash), but I got a call from Vodafone yesterday and they've offered me £49 (no need for charger). And they recycle it too. I've just checked mobile2cash, and they're offering me £56. However, I'm sticking with Vodafone as the £49 will be credited to my monthly bill automatically.
My advice is, if you're going to upgrade, hold back a week or two before you contact Envirofone or mobile2cash. You may get a better deal.0 -
With 14 pages before me, I have not read them all. But what I would like to know is this, Envirophone offer 85 points /£9.98 or £11.48 Argos vouchers. But no mention is made of the fact that we have the Charger/ Ear piece (hands free)/ and car charger, surely these items combined would make the total package worth more ?. The phone is a Nokia 6100.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You can send these items but you are not paid anymore than the price quoted.

I've been meaning to post this for some time now. Since Envirofone closed down both my trade-in accounts, I thought I might as well do it.
The insert in red on the first post, wasn't there when I first tried to trade.
I have officially lost about £40 because 2 phones were never "delivered" to Envirofone. Both Envifone & Royal Post refuse to take any responsibiliy whatsoever therefore making it extremely unlikely that I will use them again. As far as Royal Mail's concerned, I guess what I learned is that you need to ask for a Certificate of Postage EVERY time. I had countless arguements with their customer service reps about this, to which I explicitly told me to put in their policy that Certificates of Postage should be given out without us having to ask.
It was a very infuriating experience that I will not hopefully repeat.
All the best to the rest. Hope you get lots of money for your phones!0 -
Come on, Royal Mail only 'lose' 14 million pieces of post per year (see here
and here). They justify this by saying it's a tiny percentage of what's actually posted - er 14 million? There is no justification for this - it's either ineptitude or theft.
Don't forget this is what they admit to - it's probably 3 times higher as not everybody reports a lost item. Sorry posties, but this is too hard to defend.0 -
I work for a mobile recycling company and we get free post bags delivered to us that have been ripped open and the mobile stolen from them leaving just a charger and customer details!!!
Royal Mail put the ripped bag in a bag of their own with an "apology" on the front!!!
We then claim the money we pay to customers (even though we never got their handset) back from royal mail.
All our customers are asked to get proof of posting so if handsets go missing they still get paid.
Works out to about 1% at the moment which IMO is disgracefulLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
