Good Morning Chums ,the sun is shining and it looks like its going to be a nice day for a change .It was blooming freezing yesterday and I just couldn't seem to get warm at all.

Happy Birthday Essex girl :bdaycake: :bdaycake: I hope you get stacks of goodies.

I have college this afternoon so I will be a busy bee today as I have some ironing to get shot of this morning.
yesterday my DGD came after school and she made some rock cakes, my kitchen smelt gorgeous and spicy.I think I shall be inspired and do a bit of baking on Saturday, I feel in need of some of Twinks hobnobs. I fancy a nice coffee sponge cake as well, but I have lost my receipe for one that my Austrian friend gave me years ago.I shall have to troll some cake sites for a nice easy one . I know my tribe will be turning up on Sunday morning so I'd better get baking. I'm going to have to go to Wilkinsons to get a large sieve first though as I seem to have lost my other one .my lovely sis-in-law when she visits has a tendancy to put things away in the wrong cupboards and then it takes me ages to find them again .You wouldn't think you could lose a big sieve would you but mine has disappeared completely.I have turned my kitchen upside down but its just vanished .Guarantee the minute I buy a new one my old one will turn up:eek: Ah well onwards and upwards chums I hope everyone has a wonderful week-end and gets lots of treats for Mothers Day on Sunday.Take care everyone and <<hugs>> to those who feel down and sad.
    Cheers JackieO

    Morning all!

    Happy birthday Essex girl! xx

Gorgeous sunny day here! dd1 and ds are both off school today, another INSET day. ds says he's going to sort out his bedroom, think I might need to hire a skip lol! dd1 is in a very good mood as I've booked her a hair appointment, I did offer to give her a trim myself but she shrieked a lot - for anyone who remembers the state I was in after she took the scissors to my hair, this was prob because she was expecting me to take revenge!!!

Not much os will be happening today, going to take dd1 out to get her some new jeans, why do they all keep growing?! Will however whizz around with the hoover and have promised hm burgers for dinner. Also need to make some cakes as treats are a bit lacking here!

Lunch for dd2 and dd3 was hm sausage rolls, hm choc cake, hm yoghurt, apple and raisins. Everyone else will have to grab something on toast or make a sarnie themselves!

Dinner will be hm burgers for the kids, think I might do couscous with roast peppers and feta as well, cos I love couscous the sunny weather makes me feel like eating summer style food - got to make the most of it before the rain returns!

I hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all who need one xx

Morning all just flitting in its beyond hectic here at the mo :D
Need to get to grips with the garden a bit more today, garlic and onions are shooting well and the first hardy lettuces are almost ready :j
Tomatoes are in the little greenhouse already as I've run out of windowsill space :o
Got stacks of seeds to get in still,I'm well behind this year due to run of appointments taking me out of the house every day!

Managed to bung a stew on this morning in the slowcooker and planning some parsley and horseradish(from the garden) dumplings to go with it.

Bread dough is doing for the pullman tin as I've stocked up so much on meat in the last few weeks I've got no room for sliced loaves!

Washing is vaguely caught up but need to do some ironing  bah....

Hope I've not missed too much news and all are keeping well, doesn't it give you a lift to have such a nice spell of weather and get washing on the line :D or am I just plain sad :rotfl:

    Love to all

    Morning everyone!

Happy Birthday Essex girl:beer: , hope you have a brilliant day.
Moggins ((((((Hugs))))))) I know how you feel, I really hope money worries ease for you soon. Just try and deal with one day at a time, that is what I am having to do at the moment!
Moiliere - best wishes, I really envy your new life!
Diva - sorry to hear about the Diabetes, hope thay can control it with diet for you.
Wannabe ((((((Hugs))))))) hope you are feeling more cheerful soon.

The sun has finally broken through here and it looks like it is going to be a warm day. Yest turned quite cold in the afternoon and I hated having to close the doors again.

Today I have some shopping to do and go for Mothers Day present for MIL and get some flowers for cemetery for my mum. Then I am going to bake and make HM beefburgers and wedges for tea (after being nagged by DD2).

Made spag bol yest and following comments from other posters, added grated carrot to bulk out so I could freeze for another day and Hubbie absolutely loved it (without knowing what I had done) only problem being that he went back for another plateful of bolognaise so I probably haven't gained much in freezing department!! So will def be doing that again in future!

Hope you all have a good day x

    Morning everyone!

It's a glorious day here in the Hebrides - sun shining and enough of a breeze to dry the two loads of washing that I hung out before heading to work!

Happy Birthday EssexGirl :bdaycake: Hope you have a lovely day! My life began just over a month ago, and it's not been to bad so far!!!

Moliieire - Safe journey and look forward to hearing all about it when you get in and settled.

Hope to get some bits and pieces done round the house this evening.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy the weekend.

Morning everyone (((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) where needed. Late on today as DS1 & DD both off college today & have been hogging the computer :p

I have been busy doing the usual house things like washing, pegging it out, vaccing, dusting, cleaning the kitchen & bathroom, cleaning out the gerbils & yukky cat tray so treating myself to half an hour on here now :D I've also made some butternut squash, carrot & sweet potato soup for lunch which we'll have with some crusty bread & cheese for those who want it. Dinner this evening will be quiche, wedges & salad - once I've made it :rotfl: It's a lovely sunny day here once again hope it's nice wherever you are too. I'll no doubt catch up later on have a good day all.

Happy Birthday to essex girl:bdaycake: :bdaycake:

    (((msDiva)))

Sorry about the diabetes but at least you know and they can do something about it.

    (((moggins)))

Your ex is in for a shock the way house prices are going down and we have been trying to sell for nearly two years now so even if he coud force a sale(which I don't think he can) he could be waiting for quite a while.

    Wannabesybil

Take care of yourself and try to rest as having the teeth removed will have taken its toll. It's old style to rest and get yourself better too!

DD has gone off to school with two pieces of home made pizza for lunch,so quite happy. Have told her that if she can tell me in advance what she wants or can eat then I will make it for her but am not having her bring food home uneaten and just say "No" to anything I suggest.

Bread is in the panny as we have none left so put on a "rapid" bake.

Have just loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the gas hob. Bread has finished baking and is now cooling on a clean tea towel.

Going to go have a shower and try to wake myself up then get towels washed as it is a nice sunny day here.

Will hoover and then clean bathroom this afternoon and make up DDs(20) bed ready for when she comes home tomorrow.

DH will not be happy when he sees the revised endowment statement - forecast has gone down another thousand- just glad we were not relying on it to pay the mortgage.

    Hugs to all.
