hi GG - when we went for interest only we said it was because we wanted to prioritise the repayment of our unsecured debts and that we anticipated our personal circumstances improving in the future to allow us to go back on repayment.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

missed you!
would agree with F_F's & SH's suggestions, taking advantage of rates etc.
as for citicard - Mr Lurker also has one of those (sort of anyway, its ex-wifeys debts, just in his name.....which is a bit eek but anyway!) your existing terms will be transferred to new company, would only be for new borrowing that they could change rates - or at least thats how I read the small print!
Hows the dog doing now?

The Latest Update
Well kids, sorry for the absence. Its not intentional. MSE is even our home page on our 'pooter.
I will talk to MrGG about the mortgage reasons and see what he says. I am not sure about that for a reason as I am worried that they then may penalise us. However, our term is up anyway come September so when they stick us on variable it should help us anyway.
Work is ok, things have improved somewhat which is always a bonus.
Though I do have an eeny weeny confession to make and some of you may think "that's great news" and some of you will think "are you freakin' crazy". So there isn't really any other way of saying it but....... MrGG and I are going to have us our own very mini Goose in a few months time.
<waits for posts of "how irresponsible are you?" to appear>
So we has quite a few sums to be working out as I will be on maternity leave and then not working for awhile and then figuring out if I go back FT or PT and how we survive.
Thanks for the posts and keeping my diary alive :rotfl:......... especially as I have let it slip for a bit.
Any top tips for an MSE baby?!!
Til the next installment................ (please be kind!!:))
OH and MrGG has been doing some work on his debts and has consolidated some of his debts with the bank and reduced his OD to £50 from £1500 and so far he has kept to it and he is really attacking his credit cards with the surplus cash left over from his new financial arrangements - so some of you will think silly gander but I am proud of him as he is no longer surfing along on his debt but has finally pulled the plug, and slowly but surely the water is easing out the tank.... we're on a roll baby!** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Wow Mrs GG thats fab news!
As for an MSE baby its got to be E-bay all the way. Maternity clothes for 99p plus postage or failing that find a Next outlet store as they are usually chocablock with trendy maternity wear.
After that its all terry towling nappys and buckets of slimy green foul smelling poo although lidls nappies are v. good and considerably cheaper than the branded ones.
Only buy tumble driable machine washable baby clothes. You'd be amazed how many are handwash or even worse dry clean only and lets face it when you hit the 3 month mark and you've been sleep deprived since forever you really won't care whether its wearing Tesco value babygrows or matching socks and a cute dress from babygap.
Perhaps the most MSE advice I can suggest is to find a friend / neighbour/ relative who has come to the end of their baby making days and salvage as much outgrown baby stuff as you can because however much you think you're going to need you can take that and multiply it by at least three. Four if you have a persistant puker. Nothing much gets worn until the crawling stage anyway so everything will be pristine apart from poo stains and babyfood stains so on that note avoid orange babyfood because even bleach doesn't remove the stains.... and finally the dehydrated apple crumble mix for 4 months plus is loverly.... just don't read the calorie info on the back of the packetSaving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Woweee I'm so brewdy myself so yay on you gg you kept that quiet :-) I'm sure this will spur you on to lower the outgoings lol :-) infact I may just try a 9 month target myself hehe. Hope you stick around we have missed you and well done to mr gg :-) xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES.
