    Hi MSE'ers!

Hope you are all doing well and getting closer to your DFD goals.

Things in the Goose household has been a bit troubling. Not due to me and MrGG but due to the finances.

We've experienced some more blows. The car has failed its MOT and that it going to cost to get fixed.

Cahoot phoned me today to ask me for £30 that I owe for my arrears last month, yet the guy on the phone said he would wipe the charge!! Least I think he did. They are going to look into it and call me back if that is not the case.

Sorry its just a quick one from me......

    Til the next installment....

Well Cahoot didnt call me back so I assumed that it meant that the guy who initially dealt with me had discovered that I had been given the charge refund.

But no, instead of phoning me, they send me a wussy letter saying that I still owe them.

I think that the dog may need the vets. Keeps doing this strange swallowing thing, which I am worried it could be kennel cough.

Typically I am hungry and there is nothing to eat. Though I could put some chips in the oven or is that bad??

Totally looking forward to the long weekend.

    Til the next installment.......

We've written to mortgage company to ask for interest only and they have written back to ask us why! Any bright ideas on what to respond? We are thinking saying that we are struggling to pay for it is probably not the wisest move.

MrGG has spoken with First Direct and they have almagamated his FD debts and his overdraft and ok its not ideal but he can afford to live without permanently being in trouble. So his outlook has brightened somewhat.

Not sure if I told you this but I have a lady paying me to ride my horse. So that is helping.

Had a letter from Citi telling me that my CC is now terminated and the outstanding debt has been transferred to another company. Initially I panicked thinking I'd been sent to a debt management co but its not as I have never missed a payment. MrGG is worried that they are going to stuff me with a new high APR, so I must contact them to find out what is going on.

Cahoot or Santander wrote to me as they messed up a second months DD and I accept the first one as my bank bounced it. Yet the second time they wanted to charge me etc anyway with a bit of perserverence on my part I found out that they had installed a new DD system which had failed! Yet the cheeky beggars wanted to charge me for their mistake! Outrageous. Anyways its all turned out ok, charges reversed and no affect on my credit rating etc. So that's great.

    What's new with you guys??

    Til the next installment....

Maybe say to the mortgage company that you're looking to pay interest-only to take advantage of the historic low-interest rates on mortgages to allow you to repay unsecured debts and then overpay on the mortgage. Suggest it for a limited time, that might make it more likely. In honesty I'm not sure of the best thing to suggest, try posting on the MFW board maybe?

What's new with me? I'm now the proud owner of a £30 car called Scraps who whistles in a high breeze and gives us electric shocks when you shut the door :D:D Heading to Newcastle on Saturday for the footie (Mr F is a Toon fan) and some dinner out.

Apart from that, still plodding away doing the DFW thing.

And I bought two pairs of shoes for £16 today :o
