Sheesh Kebab - what's with all the snow?! Someone make it stop please!!
So sorry that I have been away from you all, I have so much catching up to do that I am not sure that will ever get back up to date with everyone's diaries. However, I do have a laptop now and so hope to be a regular stalker, I mean, active DFW again.
New job is ok, not quite what I was expecting, but its ok. Have been approached by an agency for a job that is local and earning a 1K more than my old salary, rather than the meagre one I am currently earning. I will try and find out more and see what happens. Doesn't hurt to enquire, surely?
Mr GG are getting on great, we, of course, have our usual spats - I mean gentle discussions now and again, what normal marriage doesn't? Unless you both speak different languages! Oh hang on a mo, men and women do, don't they!! LOL.
I have over £70 in £2 coins stashed at home, all shiny and new. When I get to a ton I shall overpay ye old M&S card with them, if I can bear to part with them.
Financial news - well there isn't much. I am nearly up to my eyelashes in my OD and probably will go over this month, which I am devastated about, but on the brighter side, I have not used my CC in over a year!!!!!! YAY YAY. I have no idea how much cash this has saved me, probably tons as if I was still using them I dread to think how much more debt I'd be in. So every month I pay the minimum is a step closer to reaching the ultimate NIL POINT *said in cheesy Eurovision accent*. One day in a not to distant future I will have one less credit card as my M&S is almost under £1k now and it was over £3k so progress.
I am trying to be very good and only spend on essentials and not be frivoulous. This Christmas Mr GG and I did not do presents for each other, well he bought me a CD and we spent very wisely on friends and family, and I used my m&s vouchers for some presents, so coupled with 50% off and two for one, at one point I got two cracking presents for just over £2!!! I can feel Lord Martin's glow of approval!
Mr GG's work is really busy so that is grand and a huge lifesaver.
We are still trying to get my ABI1 form back from the JSA at Cosham as I am still owed £1500 from our insurance people due to my redundancy, as basically temping for that short time was good in one respect but totally naffed things up in terms of JSA allowance, signing off and on and getting my second amount of dosh from the insurers. Persistance pays off, so I am calling them regulary, but can I get through? No. Prob due to snow, they don't have any people in today as they keep terminating the call. GIVE ME MY FORM so I CAN GET MY CASH!!!
Hope you are all keeping well, bashing down those debts and enjoying life. We can but try.
Top tip - buy your Christmas Cards for next year now in the sale!

Yeah Mrs GG is back! Don't worry about catching up on diaries, if you're off here for a day there's loads more posts! Well done on not using the credit card for a whole year, I've only used mines once this year but considering it's only the 6th Jan, that's not that great, ha!
Look forward to more installments x0 -
So glad you're back!!! :j:j
I have (another) new diary, pop in for a virtual cuppa sometime0 -
Thank you kind DFW's.
I too am glad to be back! Hope by regularly popping in, I can stay on the straight and narrow.
OOOh and I have discovered a couple of £1 and 99p shops which are proving useful. Esp for buying crisps for lunches, cleaning products and other useful stuff like that. Bargain city so it is. Only prob being that yesterday and Monday I scoffed two packets of McCoys. Yep, two bags, so this week, and its only Wednesday and I have already eaten four packets of crisps. However, I lurrve the crisps, sadly the crisps too love me and my hips/butt, so as the moment I am trying to carry off the fuller figure look. Hope to rid myself of the excess. All in good time. Don't want to shock my body into living off its fat reserves. Friday night happiness = tv, dog on lap, heating on and feeling snuggly.
Hasn't it been a complete biatch of a week? The snow has been horrendous and I can only imagine what is going to happen once the lush preeeeeety snow turns to treacherous ice. Snow is lovely. If you are a recluse, never need to go out and have a pantry stuffed to the gils with lots of lovely morsels.
Not much on the TV tonight eh?
I have had mainly NSD's this week, which is good, well actually is blooming essential cos I have zilcho dosho to spendo anyway.
There are days when I wonder if I will ever have any money? Then reality hits me between my bushy brows and reminds me that not for the next couple of years at least. My brows need some attention for sure, keep telling myself nobody will notice my brows... as if!
My loan (which is nearly £200 a month) doesnt finish til 2011 though I guess every month from now on in, is a month closer to saying goodbye sucker!! £200 a month will be mine!!! Eventually.
Mr GG announced that we need some savings. Er no sh** sherlock?! So that is our target for this year. Get some savings ready for emergencies, to create a bit of a cushion for when things go wrong, cos lets face it they always do and its normally always in December and January when you are already struggling!
Roll on payday. Desperately need payday to come. Early if possible!
Well, my fellow Debt-Reducing-Dirt-Busting-Life-Changing-DFW'ers, its the weekend, time to kick back and relax.
