woo hoooo, you're back, have been worried about you
Hate to say it but I beleive that JSA do indeed abandon you after 26 weeks......since you have a Mr GG to support you!!
You are not alone with the non-filing...I keep trying to get ours sorted & its ok for a few days & then...bam, its chaos again - Mr Lurker DOES open post....& then plonks it down on the nearest item of furniture for me to deal with!
As for randoms bits of paper & tools....I have a similar battle (paper & computer bits)....so when in tidy up mode I pick them all up & dump them in a box in the spare room - this has been happening for at least 4 months & he's not noticed these vital bits n bobs are 'missing'....which means they will soon be binned!!
Good luck with interviews, keep on at it, it WILL come good for you

HI GG - the jsa abandon you after 26 weeks unless your partner earns really low dosh which I don't think will apply....
Our house is a complete state too!
Hope your interview goes well next week!

Thank you to Lurker, HappyTGDF and SH for posting, is hugely appreciated and even though the debt is all my own doing, having your support, words of wisdom and virtual boots to the butt really do make a difference, so I thank you.
How exciting for your wedding HTGDF!! Have a wonderful day, enjoy every moment as the time flies so very quickly.
Lurker, you are an angel for sure. Sounds like Mr Lurker and Mr GG need their bonces bonking together to knock some tidiness vibes into them. Glad the new job is going well.
SH, FABBY FABBY FABBY. Bet you are over the moon? All is crossed for the Perm job too.
Shall try and log back on later to do a PROPER update, got a lot on today. We have visitors later and therefore its motivated me into blitzing the house, not to mention all my other chores that need doing and I hope to get my insurance claim in the post today to. As that has been sat around for awhile as I have been waiting for bits of info and stuff.

The Latest Update
Morning all!
Another uber quick update from me, it's all go go go here.
Good news first..... I have been assigned a TEMP position for two weeks!!!!! Holiday cover for a role similar to one I was doing before, so that will be good.
Anyone know how that effects my JSA??? Experts please?
Bad news..... well there really isn't any. Well certainly no worse than the last time I posted. Though house is looking a bit more habitable. I mean, the dog hasn't upped sticks and left yet, so it can't be that bad!
Anyone know how I can overpay my Virgin? Reason being that I tried to do it online and when you say, pay £40 off, all it does is deduct it off your minimum payment...!! Such a con. So all I am ever doing is reducing my min payment each time. Does that make sense?
Time to hop in the shower and BEAUTIFY oneself! This may take awhile!
Places to be People, I have places to be!!!
Later alligator(s)!
PS - HAPPY FRIDAY.
Til the next installment.......** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Can you make your additional payments then overpay when your minimum is due or does it come off DD? If it does, work out the difference and make another overpayment.0 -
Ivthink u have to pay the minimum amountvthen when it's cleared and nil is owing you can overpay it's a funny website I'm with virgin team xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Thats great news!!! now the offers of more work will come flooding in
as fas as JSA is concerned methinks they will suspend you for the weeks you working, then put you back on the books but am no expert
sadly no clue about Virgin......would someone of the CC board bit be of any use maybe?I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
Hi GG glad you've got at least some work - the dosh will certainly help!
You can overpay virgin but only online not by phone
Your JSA - you tell them you have a job using their signing on booklet and say it is due to last less than x number of weeks. You should then be able to use their rapid reclaim facility to reduce the paperwork and wait when you reclaim. It was okay for me....
I'm at final stage for the perm job.... First 2 days of temp job went okay too!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
