GG I wish I had something constructive & useful to say, I really do

Others will argue but I agree with you about the spec CV - mine always got ignored, agencies were also pretty rubbish for me...although the last one i signed up with may have been the exception to that rule!

I don't think employers can ask about plans for kids, but that doesn't stop them speculating & plotting just in case

tis good new about the unemployment policy though...

    chins up!

  • LOL - chins up! How did you know it would be multiple! Well only if I keep up the hobnobs addiction it will be more than one chin!

  • The Latest Update

    Today is a new day.

Have had mixed emotions today. Keep feeling REALLY REALLY tired and have no ooomph and no pizazz.

Have not decided whether to tell agency truth about interview yet. Feel it may end up looking like pure sour grapes, plus little to gain from telling them. Not to mention that the lady I deal with is....... well....... annoying and asks silly questions and she drives me scatty.

Was about to walk the dog until it started to hammer down. Managed to get the washing in off the line! That's a first for me. Usually I leave it. Have also emptied and sorted the contents of the tumble dryer and shoved in a fresh load of towels to cook and refluff.

Have cleaned up the kitchen AGAIN, after Mr GG's efforts at creating WWII in there last night. Looks spotless again. For now.

Lounge is ok - though perhaps has a hint of eau de mutt. Any tips for removing smell, aside from gifting the dog to the local canine charity?

As soon as I have posted this, I shall phone evil MBNA and overpay that this month. So that is a good feeling.

Got to read through and sort my insurance policy form, looks like they want information written in blood. Luckily I have plenty of blood and at least that is free.

Have frozen a load of mushrooms as they were about to turn in the fridge, so will have to see if it was worth it or not when it comes to defrosting and chomping on them at a later date. Hope so. I like the idea of freezing everything. I am keeping all the bread bags to use for this purpose. I did keep a resealable cheese wrapper, decided against it when I opened it to find it stank like a tramp's armpit. Well, one has guessed that this is what is might smell like.

M&S LOB statement hit the doormat today. Its a smidge over £1100, so that is really good. Mr GG was pleased with that one as I think he was expecting mucho balancio to be on that one.

Right. Its stopped raining, so I must call the MBNA bods and then march the dog out before the next shower comeths forth.

Take care all. Thanks again to my regulars! You are all brilliant and wise and cheer me up when I feel like poo. So I thank you.

Hi-de-Hi to any lurkers. If my tale of self-induced woe and financial struggles keeps you out of trouble, then my telling the world about it in this diary has sooo been worth it.

    Til the next installment........

You have been having a carp time. I think I've all but given up ever getting another interview. Agencies promise and promise and deliver exactly squat. mad111.gif

Did get to the last two for a senior role with a well known bank which we all own half of now. Had to pop down to London and spend most of the week in the North of England. I turn up, on time, suited and booted to be greeted with "And does you husband approve of you working away from home? I wouldn't if you were my wife." I know you'll be shocked but the other candidate / bloke got the job!

I find the lack of real targets and deadlines the hardest thing, so now I make them up. I shall start give myself severe talking to's and written warnings soon. Oooh templates and stationery ... stationery hippy.gif

  • I lurvvvvvvve stationery, give me a stationery catalogue and I can get lost for hours!! Simple things, simple minds and all that stuff.

Thanks KJ, I have been having a poopy time of late. I hate agencies, all have been naff. Feel like I am destined to remain jobless for the whole of eternity and then another triple decker decade squared and to the power of 10.

Rang MBNA to overpay, but NO after keeping me on hold for twelve years, you cant overpay, only pay your minimum or repay the whole flaming lot. To overpay you must go online. I could scream. Anyways I have overpaid £38 today and when my whole £9 from GM comes through I am gonna whack that off the MBNA card too. My new goal and motivation is to get rid of the MBNA. Can you believe that I have a limit of £13k!! Good job I am set in the MSE ways now.... otherwise I would see that as money available to spend and not the curse that it really is. Well its a curse for me cos I aint got the pennies let alone the pounds to pay it back ASAP without paying interest or whatever.

Enough talk about money, its nearly the weekend! YAY. Though being unemployed every day is a weekend for me.

Hope you are all happy and well.

I get you. Still so flaming annoying. I lost my back button on my PC and its all gone belly up.

Really I am too cross to retype it all out again. You'll all have to read it via telepathy.

Going to scoff biscuits and cuddle the dog in a bid to lift FOUL mood.
