SH - You'd have been proper proud of me, as the girl who interviewed me and was registering me said she didnt think it would be long before I found something as I seemed to be very active in my job search!!!!!

Ahhhhh Mrs G-G, you have my sympathies re holidays.
If we had to pay for a holiday this year, we would most definitely not be having one either. Fortunately, I have paid for our holiday with Tesco vouchers :jso we are having a week in southern Brittany in July in a very nice 3 bed luxury mobile home, and taking my parents as well (not in the same caravan I hasten to add - dont want to be THAT cosy :rotfl:) and all I have paid in real money is the £15 damage waiver. Thank you Mr T! Mind you, with his 3 trillion profit, I think he can afford it!! :rotfl:
I hope you manage to get some kind of break, even a little weekend somewhere, keep checking the last minute type sites, you can get real bargains on those.
And GOOD LUCK with the job hunting!
Our nearest Tesco's is a bit of a drive, so not really economical, even with the ClubCard.
We may do something, we may not. If we do go away, then the dog will have to come with (can't afford daycare for the mutt whilst we cook ourselves in the sun!) and it would have to be some kind of freebie or lo-cost-bie type thing. Think we may have some time at home instead, we'll see. Really want to get the debt down and as fast as possible without crippling ourselves emotionally, financially or physically.
Thanks for the good luck, I seem to be in need of some luck lately.
Check you out, earning brownie points for taking the parents on holidays. You are certainly a brave woman.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

you know the signing on thing.. well im clearly a little stupid and i really thought that signing on was signing in a big book everyweek and standing in a big queue. but as i have never signed on i still dont know if it is a big book or just my imagined signing on theory.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I overheard them insisting to one chap that he apply for a job that was nothing like what he was looking for.

With regards to applying for unsuitable jobs... you can always send in a really badly spelled, grammatically wrong application. Even if you get an interview you can fail to shower, clean your teeth, dress in clashing unwashed clothes - fail to understand the questions and ask annoying questions... Sounds like a plan to me!:rotfl:
I've never had to do this even tho I once signed on for 4 months so don't believe all the horror stories! Generally they are nasty to time wasters not those that apply for jobs and get interviews for themselves!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sounds like rather a grand plan indeedy do.
One that I shall be following should the need arise. I could also colour in a few of my teeth, for the added effect, and carry a dog poop about my person and left the oudour waaaaaaaaaaaft about a bit.
You DFW are brilliant people. Very helpful. Thank all of ye, esp my loyal and regular diary stalkers... I mean, readers.

bad luck. I hope something better comes along soon:D
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Afternoon Mrs GG and others!
How's it going? Not too nice here today, but then again I'm indoors so not really worried about the weather!
Bit bored today and having to eat a rubbish lunch - tortilla wraps with chicken and peppers, sounds ok but the tortilla fell apart, went all crumbly and that was before I got it in my mouth! Any tips on how to make the perfect tortilla wrap?! Will have a look at the OS board actually, might get more ideas!0
