TBH never investigated how it gets there just found one when reaserching a specific name told me name of person and the town where they live and what was in their wish list.

I do suspect that it is simply poor protection from spiders rather than deliberate act just something to be aware of if you are a private person.

I have a unsual surname (maidan name now this is) too.
Just typed it it came up with only 4 people my 3 brothers and my ex-sister-in-law. You'll only have 3 people come up on facebook with my now maidan name and thats me and 2 of my brothers.
Anyway enough of that, I'll have to change my profile a little as with yours it has my proflife picture and a few of my friends, I'll also have to warn my one of my brothers as his shows up too.
I don't have much about me anyway and my photos are only for friends only but I'll chnage it.

simply go to the settings as i listed 1st and your nane will still be listed on the search results but when u click on it it just shows the basic facebook login NOT your picture, selection of friends etc

I'm not sure that after I changed my privacy settings, it took google (in this case) a few days to catch up and wipe the info.

I've unchecked all the boxes 'People who can see me in search can see:' and get the basic facebook login...not my picture but when I click on 'Inbox' 'Friends' etc all the info comes up...I changed it yesterday - are you saying it may take a few days for it all clear?

I'm on facebook under a fake name, age, etc. I only use it as a glorified email account to keep in touch with old friends. I dont get why people want to post all that crap about themselves for everyone to see, no one cares.
