Fingers Xd for you. Lets hope you get it.
The sun is shining so surely that is a good sign. Lets hope its an aircon building - as you don't want to be glowing in the interview. Well there was no aircon in the interview but my car has aircon - about its only positive! 28 degrees today! The interview was around 1hour45 which hopefully was a positive sign... They also asked re availability for next week's third round interview so I am fairly hopeful but may only find out Thursday. Have no idea how I go about asking for my second day off in only 2-3 weeks???

OMG what a long interview! Sounds like it went well though, but what is it with second & third interviews these days, not that I've been on many, but have only ever been to first interviews!
It took me applying for 4 different admin jobs before I go my current one - well worth waiting for, I love (like?!), ok I love it.
Will keep fingers and everything crossed x
P.S. Chips, yum, think will stick some in the oven to eat with CSI0 -
Hi GG and Swinstie and other readers...
Most of my jobs require 2-3 interviews sometimes testing too - it is exhausting. I don't in practice get paid if I am off so today was one really expensive interview - and next week's will be too if I get that far especially as it will be in London. I think for the London interview I will ask the agency if there is any chance of at least getting the train ticket refunded otherwise that could prove horrendously expensive!
As I need to be up by 6am latest tomorrow - I need to go to bed now - I can't believe it!
Well on a positive- as long as the withdrawal goes thro okay - I won £20 on a bingo site today. I'll see if I get any nasty e-mails tomorrow cancelling the cash in!
Bye all until tomorrow.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I got the nasty e-mail cancelling the cash in.... Oh well on another site I am about £2 up tho (having wagered free cash only)
I've been put forward for 2 jobs this week so we will see how they go. I haven't heard back on yesterday's interview but have no idea how to ask for the time off if I get thro to the next stage. I have a really important meeting that day - oops!!
Should hopefully get my first lot of pay at the end of this week - should be great! Still need to do my final forms for the DWP....
Hope you are all doing okay?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I wouldn't normally condone or recommend, is it worthwhile enough of a sick day? I mean, I always worry that the leave request could get rejected, then what do you do????
Have no doubts that you'll have thought of something.
You are very active in your job search and have so much going on, I, in comparison, seem to be not doing anywhere near as well. Doesnt help that Mr GG gives me mixed messages. Telling me to apply for jobs with lower salaries, then saying not to, MEN. I could.......... well do without em.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Hi everyone. Well I got thro to final stage :j - still not plucked up courage to ask for day off... at the end of the day even if they sack me I will still go... By the day I get more and more sure that the current role is not for me anyway....
The potential new job is 14 miles versus 30+ and is 25% more money.... (more like what I was earning before) and would give me more free time as less commuting time... Oh and I would have more autonomy and independence again - doing work that desperately needs doing....
Having £ coming in is good tho and I would prefer not to burn my bridges!
GG I have read your pm and will hopefully respond properly over the next few days;)Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
