Hi piquant, swinstie and cas - thanks for replying! :T Keep debt busting. Well done cas on your savings! Piquant - I try and stay upbeat as it does make me more attractive whether that is as a diary writer, a candidate, a parent or a friend!!! The purpose of this diary is to try and keep me upbeat but also to give me an outlet for the stress!!! I don't want to bore my friends to death with moaning :rotfl: so I get to do it on here instead LOL!

Yes work is definitely torture currently!

I got rung about a job today - got all excited only to discover that is one I am already in for with a different agency. I made my CV searchable with limited contact details - I got contacted again today - got all excited about that but thought I will check the website out - they try to sell you an outplacement service... Don't think they actually have a job for me... They do offer a "free" career assessment - may be worth checking it out when I go and revisit some of the agencies when I finish where I am!

Did chase 3 agencies today and did some more searching on the internet. Found 3 or 4 new jobs to apply for :j - so here's hoping one of them comes off! I feel like a cold caller :o now when I ring the agencies saying "gis a job"!!!!

Checked the date on the cheque - it was out of date on the 10th! He is going to have to ask for a new one!

I did do my expenses today - the company owe me over £100! They are not normally quick payers but since I am leaving I hope they pay me more quickly...

:money: I'm due a bonus at the end of the month but I have had a letter with the amount and it is less than I was expecting - so I am planning to appeal to their better nature to increase it - wish me luck. They can only say yes or no so I have nothing to lose!

Had the remains of yesterday's lunch for tea - it was divine - the best bit of my day :rotfl: I'm contemplating doing a grocery shop but don't know whether OH has already blown the weekly budget!!! I'm addicted to hazel nuts and want to go and get some - oops :p

    Bye all for now!

Piquant - you just reminded me to count my blessings some more...

Yesterday my DD got given loads of High school musical stuff and some lovely clothes to grow into one day... She was thrilled to bits - these were courtesy of my MIL's friends - cast offs but most of it looked like new. I am passing some of the clothes to one of my friends who has older kids. My DS also gained some River Island jeans and a top plus a top to give his mate... So we are blessed - I don't usually need to buy clothes for my kids - I usually get given good quality ones from my MIL's friends....

hi saving sorry to hear that life is such a pain and throwing you a few curve balls at the moment. I hope that one of the jobs pays off for you .

One thing though, you have said you have x debt and y savings, but will you not get some redundancy pay AS WELL as the bonus that you have already mentioned? This would make a difference to the figures

:hello: Just popped in to wish you well on the job search - I see that you have been doing loads of work to make it happen, and hope you soon see the payback for this. I'm about three months behind you on the redundancy front, and can hardly imagine how difficult it would be going in each day (I'm off sick at present).

You made me chuckle with the account of the marketing presentation. Glad to hear that you remained dry ;) (DD clearly has a fine sense of timing - trust she is ok now?) and had some good lunches out of it.

That's made me feel all warm and silly....thank you!

I try to stay upbeat like you, it's not always easy though, some days are just too plain grey, the sort of days where you know it was a mistake to even get out of bed!

My job has been hanging in the balance since October, it's a long boring story, so I won't go on about it. The thought of losing it terrifies me (because of the money, not the job). Hopefully all the work you're putting into finding a new one will pay off, you certainly deserve it.

Chevalier - Thanks for replying... I don't get redundancy pay not been there long enough....

Hollyberry - Thanks for joining me too... Yes DD was fine next day. She is intolerant to baked beans of all things and had had them at school! You mentioned you were off sick - hope you are okay - feel free to share or not as you please....

Piquant - glad I gave you a lift... Again feel free to vent on here if you want to... Upbeat is good but not if you are holding it all in. I arrived at work to find I couldn't get computer access so came home and am trying to do some work from home at the moment. Just having an early lunch break... At least it (computer problems) provided some relief from the torture....

I just got rung up about a job by an agency because of making my CV searchable - 24 mins long - she said she was sending me the job spec thro but not arrived yet.... Still holding out hope though that it will!

Bye for now - keep your chin up and keep debt busting all!
