    Hi all

I got on well with the interviewers - whether I did enough to get to the next stage I don't know... couldn't get hold of the agency to give or receive feedback so just have to hope (and pray!) I really liked the company and them - altho I think the travel could be a killer....

Well that interview cost about £10 in petrol and £4 in parking and guess what I get to fund it.... I also spent £5.05 on a carvery and a drink today plus bought a lovely new jacket for £69 (after the interview) reduced from £149 (planet) - my current one is a little tight - oops! I think for the level of job tho I think the money is well spent

I got rung about a job today that was too far away but at least I am on another agency's radar now!

I also submitted my details for a 6 month job this am waiting to hear back on that....

Waiting to hear if I have a different interview Monday...

I hope so but there is no guarantee! I've never used them before but if they can help me get a job like that I would be quite happy to use them again :j
DD is going to a party tomorrow - but I already have a present wrapped that I bought with my challenge money b4 xmas....

Feel slightly more confident again as with finishing Tuesday - it seems to have given some of the agencies an extra push! Although in all honesty I want a couple of weeks break - not had one since Christmas and I am cream crackered LOL

  • Nothing like a well fitted suit to make you feel like the bees knees.

My old suit, just doesnt look right. Not to me anyways. Its the jacket I think. Whereas my new suit is just "ta daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" - lush. Like you this job is for a similar position in theory but in reality its like the next step up and it could really be a mega job. Think I'll have to pour my heart, soul and kidneys into it, but I know it will be worth it.

Its good to have a break - enjoy it. I am !!!!! So when I have a job and I am mega stressed out and at my wits end, I can dreamily cast my mind back to my mornings with Jeremy Kyle and the chavs....... LOL

Another website I know of, which is also used by Headhunters, I think is called "Linked In" -get yourself on it...... you never know what may come of it.

Didnt realise you had little peeps. They sound very cute and like a gorgeous distraction from the real world. Its moments spent with them that make you realise what really is important.

I have everything crossed for ye..... so much so..... its any wonder I can type!!

    Look forward to the update.

I must go to bed - its so late!!! Happy Friday ALL.

well done with the interview SH I hope you hear something soon. will your bonus allow you to be debt free? I hope so but I suppose you need to know you have a job to be able to use it for that.

I have managed to persuade OH to cancel the weekly papers so that will save about £20 a month , not a lot but it all helps. I am also going to try really hard with the grocery challenge this month as I spectacularly ballsed it up and ended spending over £500  last month.
right better get some cleaning done.
hope you are all ok x

Thanks Chev, SC and GG for posting...

I gave feedback to the agency today on how much I enjoyed yesterday but not heard back from them. She did tell me the manager concerned was hard to get hold of so not drawing any conclusions on that....

Work gave me flowers and choccies today as it was the last day that everyone was in before I leave tuesday... that helped.

Also talked to my outplacement consultant about what other help they could give me so he is going to send me some more links and stuff ;)

Got paid today and got my bonus which was fab. SC to answer your question if I had a job to go to I would have been able to clear around £4K off my debts plus my normal payment!!! :j As it is I can make it last until around end July before things start to get really tight.... I've moved £3K :j to a savings account so it is less tempting sat in my main account!

Need to go and take DD to party so I will catch up some more later probably....

Some more good news - just been offered an interview late on Monday pm for an interim (temp) role.... :j Just need to break it to work now :rotfl: considering I am supposed to be doing a handover then...

The outplacement consultant I am seeing thinks I should hold out for a perm job rather than taking on an interim.... it is hard to ignore the attraction of immediate £ tho! Having said that I would like to have Easter off - not sure that will go down well if I get offered the job on Monday  oh well cross that bridge when I come to it if I do!;)

Some of the roles I have applied for have salary package differences of about 25%!!! So in some ways it would make sense to hold out for the top jobs but for how long? I've always been "a bird in the hand" type person but in some ways that may have slowed my career down.... and sometimes would be a mistake...

    Dilemmas!
