Hi MrsC - if you are looking for ideas for your 4 year old's party you could try the special occasions board for ideas or post a thread on there. You could have an old fashioned party with party games etc or perhaps pirate themed eg throw in a treasure hunt, colouring, perhaps make something simple!
The wii is fun when you get the right games... We've mainly had the ones you should have up to now - eg sports game and the balance board.... (too serious and boring in comparison LOL!)Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Lots of gold stars for that party idea SH. Really good and really MSE too.
Can imagine how easily the costs shoot up with each child wanting to go one better than the previous party they went to.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

HI GG - yeah if I booked a party at the same places as some of my DD's friends it is about £9 per head and they normally say minimum 10 kids so you can see if you are not careful you can be spending anywhere between £80 and £100 on a party. Some people invite as many as 20 kids!!! So yeah this party is very MSE!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

HI MrsC - yeah for some reason I am still struggling to go to bed. Really need to try and go to bed at 11pm and get up around 8am so that I am still in that mode when I finally secure my next job.
Hope you have a nice time with your friend and KICK get that work done so you can invoicee LOL!
I have decided to spend a couple of hours today applying for jobs and chasing the agencies. I've found a few new ones so wish me luck!
I also need to spend less time on here and more time sorting out my house - I just found my DD's boots which have been missing for 2-3 months ie when she needed them most. My sister wants to borrow a particular book - I am sure I have got it - just wondering which crate I hid it in when (oops)!
Anyway job hunt - followed by sorting out lounge - doesn't sound too bad does it???
Hope everyone else has the lovely Friday feeling!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Afternoon all,
Hope the job applications are going well??? How's the lounge coming along?;)
For some reason my super boyfriend has been on a cleaning spurt todayHe woke up (before me!) and started in the living room first thing and has now just finished the kitchen and I mean polish and dusters too.....he's just about to start the bedroom and has even got the summer clothes boxes out to change over and put winter clothes away. Don't get me wrong i'm not complaining, I just don't get it
He's not normally as good as this
Hope you are all having a good day, Kx0 -
:rotfl:Wow lots of activity there Karen! Hmmm well OH arrived home at lunch time and led me astray - we had a chinese - very naughty but yum! £11.20 down tho (eek)! I sorted some of the lounge and bits of the garage. I have 2 bags of little girl clothes to give away - stuff I took to the car boot sale last summer which never sold and that I never did anything with! I also put all the stuff of my DD's that I found in a winnie the pooh collapsible box. It is now full - 2 brand new blouses, plus old books, a bratz doll, little ponies, colouring books, hair clips, hair band, bobbles, dressing up clothes - you name it galore! It looks like she has just had a birthday all over again!
Lots still left to do tho! I've also started filling some bags with books for my Sister, Sister's OH and my Mum. I have one lone item in a charity bag so far - I find it much easier to give things away to people I know! OH has also filled a big box with books - shame we still have soooooo many left! Must be something in the air Karen - cleaining, tidying. SC I knew there was a reason we were all on a thread together - I don't think it is because we are domestic goddesses!:rotfl:
Not done anything more on the job hunt other than to save some jobs into a folder ready to appy to later
Picked the kids up from school and done my "golden mile" for the day! I've been very virtuous and walked all week!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
