hi saving. *pops in to wave hello*

when you said you want to be a coach do you mean a life coach??

I would love to be a life coach and one of my past roles was like life coach working with people with learning disabilities. It was a great job. I looked into the training course but as I want to live in Spain eventually it is not a very viable career path for living there (unfortunately).

  • Hi Saving, thought I'd pop in and say hi. Good luck with the job hunting. I've done a bit of coaching through work and we did the Penny Ferguson training as well - the course was good (the trainer wasn't quite so good).

hi cmd - the life coaching academy (whose training I did) do now offer a 2 day training course for free- you could go for that anyway. There are lots of ex-pats in Spain so I wouldn't be so quick to right it off. Also it is an opportunity to get coached yourself which can't be bad!

hi lunar - I think the paperwork would probably drive me insane long term too. I would rather be a freelance trainer than an NVQ assessor but I think it would give me some useful experience that might then make going freelance easier? What do you think?

I find public speaking scary but it can also be energising. Would like to be better at it - but need more practice!

At least if you train to be an assessor you can keep the bits you like when you are freelance and drop the rest. I took some bits to use in my teaching my other students (not nvq ones).

As for public speaking, my OH is a natural. He will go into a lecture room of 200 people as easily as he can talk to me. unfortunatly for me it leaves me a wreck!

    Lucky OH!

I haven't really got any materials at the mo so that would be the potential attraction.... of working for someone else... They would also pay for me to be qualified as an assessor which I could also use afterwards.... hmmmm

Well now on 46 gold stars on woohoo - equivalent of £2.50 of an Amazon voucher....

Have decided to use my savings to pay off barclaycard as 0% has expired. That will also reduce our monthly outgoings slightly....

Sounds like a sensible thing to do. How did your boss take the resignation?

I really ought to get back to using the wii as well. It's been a couple of months now.
Hope you get a payout for the accident
